Also crafted all but 1 gg jewels and a 21/20 enfeeble\assassins mark and the rest of my gems are 20/20 or close to it :)

" " Sorry for the long delay. I was on vacation for a week with limited internet access. I don't have a guide for crafting, sorry. I don't really craft because it's so expensive with very little benefit at my current situation. Too be honest, you don't need to be completely decked out for the build to work. As long as you have your Marylene's Fallacy with +1 curse, you should be good for the most part. The dagger would give you more DPS if that is what you need. You can also try using a shield for DPS in the meantime if that is what you need - just play a little bit more safer. Good job on the gems. You should aim for a 21/20 Dark Pact gem since it gives you a sizable DPS increase. Have you tried Shaper yet? any 21/20s on the 6l would be insane don't know if I want to commit that kind of time, leveling another set of gems to 20 was a pain. Yes! I killed Shaper today actually. Failed the first map and got him on the 3rd portal of my second. Actually not too bad once you get the mechanics down. Can almost facetank his beam but I'll prob just keep moving out the way to be safe. His slam thing can def one shot me tho. Got a dying sun (10-15 ex) as well so pretty lucky. Gear update: ~7.5k life 1170 mana 54 regen Switched to Alira giving up 1 5% life node and 2 %15 crit multi nodes @lvl 94 so I could keep Shaper and Righteous Decree which makes completely solves my mana issues. Shaper alone with Alira wasn't quite enough with my current rings. Hesitant to try Uber Atziri as the set runs for 3-4x on xbox but we'll see. I should be fine right? |

" Very nice! Congrats on Shaper. If you don't need that Dying Sun, I would sell it and buy 21/20 gems instead of leveling them yourself. You need slightly more health to tank the slam. Enfeeble and Fortify will help with that too. I wouldn't try Uber Atziri just yet. You'd have to be real familiar with the fight and be able to push through clone phase fast with high DPS. Hmm I'm at 85k hideout dps unbuffed just missing a lvl 20 conc effect and 1 crit chaos ring. Not sure where I'm gonna get the dps for uber, jewels are almost as nice as yours.
Crafted a tri res vanguard belt but it only has t3 life. Should I just focus on a leather belt? And would dying sun be useful for uber atziri\mapping? Since I'm not using projectiles seems like kind of a waste but I'm not hurting for currency atm |

" Your gear seems nice enough for an Uber attempt. I would practice with baby Atziri until you are really familiar with the mechanics. Some people take off gear and lower damage on purpose to practice, because if you just clear the phases in 0.5 seconds, you don't get any practice in. The difference between baby and uber is night and day if you use the same gear. I made this mistake the first time; did baby Atziri like 20 times with ease and figured I can just hold DP at Uber and wasted my fragments. I failed the second ateempt also, but I learned a lot more, and successfully beat her with my third attempt. Check the strategy section and study my video in preparation. Go with Leather Belt. Even though extra defenses are nice, Life gives you both defense and offense, and we scale our Life more than we do Armor/Evasion. I don't think Dying Sun is worth using. You can mess around with it, but I'd replace it. If you want mapping, put in a Quicksilver instead. If you can do Shaper consistently, you're going to get a lot more Dying Suns anyway. Thank you Kurii amazing guide and build. I used your guide early on in harbinger and have been enjoying it the most out of 2 other chars I made (buzzsaw and dp totem). Still need better rings for crit and ess chaos dam plus enchantments in helm and likely rare boots for res (after the rings).
Btw any recommendation on using dual apep’s ? "I've played a lot of videogames. It's my primary recreational activity. Best games ever: Elden Ring and Diablo 4."

" Hi, DreadLordAvatar. I'm glad that you are enjoying the build! Apep's Rage conflicts with our build in several ways. 1) The increase of mana cost makes it hard for us to hold down Dark Pact without stalling due to the 92% mana reserve from a level 3 Enlighten Support gem. We'll either need to remove at least one buff to create more of a mana buffer, or we resort to Blood Magic from The Covenant. 2) Curses can't be applied easily via Curse on Hit Support because we won't be using Storm Cascade from The Rippling Thoughts anymore. In this case, we get rid of Curse on Hit completely and use Blasphemy Support. We'll have to prioritize our mana reserving skills at this point. And if we aren't using two curses, then there is no point for the +1 curse mod. 3) Running dual Apep's Rage gets rid of our Shield Charge so we can't activate Fortify Support in any way (Leap Slam, Whirling Blades, Shield Charge). We still have Flame Dash or Lightning Warp as movement skills so it's not as bad. If we use this setup, we give up defense for offense. I'm not running into any problems with damage or rather I feel that it's "good enough" and choose to balance my stats by using a defensive shield. This way, I can survive things that would have normally killed me and save myself a portal or experience. Very nice build man, almost have all the gear needed, but does Kaom Roots fits in, or you lose too much dps by not running those boots gems?

" Thanks! As for Kaom's Roots, you don't lose "too much" DPS as long as you don't replace your Wither Totem link. If I were to chose a link to ditch, it might be the CwDT link as it's inconsistent; and keeping Haste would help make up for the loss of movement speed. It's not so much about the DPS, but rather what each option has to offer and what we need to function. Using my boots, we can compare the two. We'll disregard the innate defenses and the implicits, but let's pretend I crafted +30% to Lightning Resistance instead. Rare Boots: +90% Resistance +30% Increased Movement Speed 4-Link Koam's Roots: +110 Life Can't be knocked back Can't be slowed below base speed Can't be stunned Can't evade You can weigh the benefits here. Movement speed helps prevent your character from feeling clunky and unresponsive. Shield Charge is scaled off both attack and movement speed. For general mapping, you don't really need movement speed, but for tougher bosses, it might pay off (namely against Uber Atziri where you have constantly dodge her skills). Having movement speed to evade big attacks gives you more margin for error and gives you more time to respond. Do we really care about knock-back? The speed affix is nice for Temporal Chains map mod, but that mod is merely an annoyance; during boss fights, you use your anti-curse damage flask anyway. Stun is helpful here, but I rarely die to stun anymore due to high life to reduce stun chance, enough life/armor/evasion/block to survive while stunned, fast cast speed to leech quickly after being stunned, and decent recovery from Brine King Pantheon and Lioneye's Remorse shield. The only thing you should be worried about for stuns is the 3 consecutive golden orbs from Shaper. If you are face-tanking the orbs, and you get stunned after the first hit; you will die if you get hit by the second incoming orb and you don't recover/cast fast enough. Lastly, we lose out on our evasion (in my case, 24% chance to evade attacks becomes 0%). Evasion and Block is our only way to deal with large hits effectively (armor is more effective against smaller hits due to the formula).
