Wow, thanks for this writeup! I love reading about procedural level generation.

By the way, I've always wondered how you place the corpses in the Warehouse area. Do you first generate the path from entrance to exit, with the corpses, and then generate the rest of the level around it? How do you ensure that you don't accidentally generate shortcuts?
