Here's my stuff, was following demi's pure str chieftain before but decided to switch to jugg for better tankiness, and I could still get similar damage out with my gear. Started running 4 auras too because of you guys. Still got a bunch of upgrades I want to make like corruptions and better watchers/gloves/boots. I'm only at like 9.5k hp right now because of the switch to 4 auras. Pretty fun build, plan on making a push to 100 soon.

Thanks for writing this guide, I just reached T10 maps using this build, had lots of fun so far.

Have a few questions about it:

- Several people along the topic posted gears with Immortal Call: how useful is it at preventing one-shots by bosses and syndicate?

- An Enlightment Support at level 4 is capable of maintaining a Vitality/Purity of Fire/Ice AND Aspect of Spider all at once? Will be there enough mana to be reserved? Or am I missing something?

I'm trying to do Uber Elder with this build.

Changed the ascendancy in order to have stun/slow immune because it's just too good for UElder.

With Scorching Ray at 4 stacks (don't want to assume 8 because of uptime etc) I reach about 300k dps total (RF + SR). It feels very weak.

I can tank a lot of hits, sure, but the real problem are the squids. They take quite long to kill and by the time I get Elder/Shaper to like 50/50% or even 25/25% the arena is FULL of squid poop, effectively nullifying my regen.

A Burning/More Ele/Conc helmet would help a lot with the slightly larger RF range (basically replacing the conc skill gem with increased aoe), but those cost a fortune, like 30ex and more.

Can't really find a weapon that's more than 2-3% better than my current one. Getting all my supports to 20/20 would give me another 13k dps or something miniscule like that.

Getting rid of my shield and just getting another scepter would be about 50k extra dps. Can't think of much more, and I imagine the +4% max res lost would be noticeable.

Is there a good way to push my dps up to at least like 500k without sacrificing too much tankiness? If I could just stop the squids fast enough and not have squid poop everywhere this fight would be a piece of cake :(


Thanks for this guide. Yesterday killed Shaper for the very first time ever on it. Build is so tanky as I very cleverly dodged none of the slams but never felt in danger. Wanted my Elder Orb for so long and now finally have it. Also killed Uber Atziri for the first time on same afternoon.

As I am playing on Standard rewarded myself by buying

for 4ex and a 21/20 Scorching Ray for 3ex and will now try for Uber Elder. These have boosted my scorching ray DPS by 60% according to PoB. Previously had used a Doryiani's Catalyst. Even though playing on standard not a rich character but this build is well worth the significant investment that 7ex represented.

Next: elder belt and marble amulet and i'm ready to try end game.
does anyone have a sceptre with the following stats?

elemental focus
multimod
damage over time
damage per endurance charge
fire damage / burning damage / attack speed / area damage
lightning damage / cold damage / +2 to fire gems

if so, please link it, i want to add it to the guide

Your gloves have Fasters Attack as an affix. If you move your Shield Charge setup there, you'll be able to drop Faster Attacks gem, freeing up a socket. You'd also be able to drop dex from passive tree and gear.

Drop "versatility" and "ash, frost and storm" passives, and put those point into life and jewel nodes.

You should craft "3% life regen" on one of your flasks.



Try to get a helmet with Horror+BD/Conc on it.

Get 2% life regen enchant on your boots.
