Im playing it, works pretty good.
You just have to find a replacement for the Harbinger Shield (im trying rathpith atm)

I leveled to 80 with Essence Drain and Contagion cause its very fast

If only this guide had more work put into it...I'm a beginner when it comes to builds and how they work and I have absolutely no idea how to start with this build. I've been trying to level using Blade Vortex and am in Act II ATM but I have no idea what to do. I took both Herald of Ash and Ice but no idea if it's good, I don't know which leveling uniques I should get, which mandatory uniques I should get first, which links aim for and when...

The video makes it look super fun, as I wanted a really tanky and cheap build to start this league in order to go a bit higher than I've ever been but I'm gonna stop here (I'm sure if I keep going I'll be stuck because I don't know how some mechanics work).

Hope Octavian would come back and write more :/. Beginning in this game and being alone is super difficult.

If you've got any specific questions, feel free to shoot me a message. I don't really use forums often, as I despise the way they are laid out, so I don't visit here often. I'd be happy to help, though! As far as early leveling, try using essence drain and contagion instead of blade vortex if you're having difficulties, as it will synergise quite well with the early tree as well. Sadly, there really aren't any leveling uniques that are super powerful with this character, but simply getting a 4-link as soon as possible for essence drain, with efficacy, void manipulation, and controlled destruction as your supports and using contagion with the new spell cascade and faster casting should lead to a good leveling experience up until you can use allelopathy. If you don't like spell cascade, increased aoe is great too btw.

* axiom perpetum
* bold that bit in the text about picking up added cold in a1
* a2 get herald skill first
* a3 blasp - mark link makes it smooth and you can play with most of your mana reserved
