[3.1] Firestorm Leech Tank
Ye I just bought an elder ring with level 12 warlord's mark, a blue socket atleas ta bit of life and resist and got me an OKAY scepter.
Oh that's a nice jewel, using Vitality instead of arctic armor might even be better defensivly. Not sure if I'll use the Vigilante Strike setup, seems to be pretty min/max for endgame bossfights to have an additional longer fortify source that doesnt require you to move, I might use that socket for Flame Dash to get over obstacles, gotta play around with it. |
" yeah, vigilant strike is only really needed on shaper and some guardians. tempest shield can be dropped, 3% block is not that much. clarity can also be dropped if running vitality aura. that frees up enough slots to move enfeeble to CWDT setup instead of curse aura and squeeze in arctic armour. i might do that eventually but just don't feel the need, i am already pretty much unkillable. |

I'm probably a scrub because I'm having a hard time even following this. the only thing I can really make off is the gem links. So there isn't any required unique gear? Just certain stats on gear such as; life, res, and fire dmg
" The Rathpith Globe unique shield gives the needed Block Chance against spells, the Hrimnor's Resolve unique helmet has good stats and makes us basically immun to chill and frozen. All the other gear can be rare items. While lvling you can use the unique amulet Stone of Lazhwar to get your Block chance against spells and Cybil's Paw is a great weapon early on. Later when you are rich, you can buy Xophs Blood amulett, which is probably best in slot here and a 6 link Belly of the Beast with 5 blue sockets, which will be even more expensive. |
" " Ye ofc if the difference is insignificant there is no problem, just trying to understand ;) |
" Would you recommend dropping tempest shield, even without the helmet enchant? |
" I do not recommend dropping tempest shield, just saying that if you desperately need gem slots then tempest shield is one of the least impactful gems to let go. Doesn't mean it is useless. |
I personally keep Tempest Shield right now because it looks cool :D I thought about using a Lightning Golem in the autocast setup again instead for TS for a bit of cast speed but that's also just a minor bonus. I also used Vaal Haste for like 25%+ castspeed to burn down a boss even quicker and I also use a Flame Dash to get over obstacles and replace it with a Vaal Clarity on maps like Siege with Hexproof totems where I dont get mana leech (I might gonna look into some non-curse mana leech soon).
The build is tanky enough for you to play around with the setup A LOT if youre just doing maps. I cant speak about the high tier bossfights like Shaper since I havent done them but I'll try this season with this build. |
Finaly killed Shaper with that build.
Only change I did was using Arctic Armor instead of Enfeeble, since mathematicly it should be a little bit more physical reduction. It's definetly very strong, and I like it it even more then last season, since Shield Charge is just great. But I was to scared to try to facetank the Shaper Slam. Do you survive those? |
" i haven't done the shaper yet. probably will cough up the dough and buy the missing fragments this weekend. facetanking the slam should be doable, even if you use arctic armor you can still cast enfeeble manually. |
