Constant disconnects when loading zones
Same Problem here. Random disconnects at loading screens. It's absolutely random e.g. it isn't an special intance or map. I had this issue with 2.6 also but there I had it only after logging in for the first time of a day. Now in 3.0 I get disconnected at least twice an hour.
I won't change my registry or change to Dx9 since the problem is not on my side and needs a fix by GGG. I was thinking about getting two 3.0 Supporter Packs if I like what they have done with 3.0 (I do) but with this error it's nearly unplayable. So I'll wait for a fix...or at least for an answer. |

I have the same problem on my pc at home, when I play on a different machine (at work :)) it's fine, I really don't know whats wrong I try everything from re-install game and GPU drivers to change settings in the game from low to high it's same all the time.
Only what I didn't try is reinstall windows but I am not doing that bc of some game. I hope GGG will fix this soon... |

Really frustrating...
Was fine for me for the beginning of the league but out of nowhere I keep getting these loading screen 'freezes' since monday... Tried all the offered solutions still like every 3-4 zoning the loading screen freezes .. no disconnect or anything just keeps loading ... most of the time when I alt+f4 I cant even login and have to re-restart PoE to login. Wasted my frags for lab runs, can't play with friends since i need sometimes 4 portals just for myself since half of the map portals are wasted ... not much fun at all. |

Changing your install location to an external hard drive seems to resolve the loading screen freeze issue. I'm not sure yet, as I may have been very lucky. Note that I'm just using a normal HDD, not a SSD. It is quite easy to change the intall location through steam but it does take some time.
If you dare to try, I'll explain in short how to change your install location through steam: - In the top left corner press steam, go to settings and click the downloads button. Click on steam library folders. - Click add library folder and select your external hard drive. - Right click the path of your hard drive and select make default folder. (May not be necessary) - Go to your library and right click path of exile, select properties. - Click on local files and select move install folder. - Pick the path of your external hard drive and click on move folder. - Wait and eventually play - Confirm in this thread whether it actually works. Good Luck. |

All those fixes just rely on luck. Because as stated the registry fix worked for me and few guys, but for others didn't work. I literally spend 5 days to troubleshot and fix my problem untill I fixed it somehow, support was pretty bad answered after 4 days and after I told them I tried logging from every gateway(paris/amsterdam/frankfurt) they asked if I tried changing the gateway I'm connecting to...lol
Anyway, stuff that could fix the problem for you: -try adding --noasync in the shortcut( Right click on the path of exile-->propreties, where it says target after the " just add --noasync, will look like: PathofExile.exe" --noasync -try adding --waitforpreload(this setting makes your game load longer but instead will preload everything in the map/area so after it loads everything in the map ,getting rid of random freezes and stuttering, sometimes fixes the problem with disconnects(doubt so) -download winmtr and check if you have packet loss, that seems to be the problem, I got 300mb/s internet fiber speed, 37ms to any EU gateway but I seemed to have packetloss on my computer(I use a router, and from all 4 PC's I have only mine has packet loss, can run PoE on others PC's too) -don't reinstall windows, problem won't get fixed, I tried reinstalling win7, win10, didn't fix anything -if you have packet loss "your ISP is at fault" not really, I had packet loss and after I changed the registry I somehow got rid of the packet loss(I understand that the setting is about DHCP, wich someone explaind you need dynamic IP to have it, I got static IP and worked for me). -changing from DX11 to dx9 or dx9ex seems to have fixed the problem for some -in the UI setting ingame you have the network option wich is usually set to "Auto", if you got a stable connection, anywhere under 50/60 ms you should change it to Lockstep, if you have high ms keep that option to Predictive, could fix your problem. |

Daily reminder that GGG cares more about their SALES than their game or players.

i think this stuff has been ignored for to long, we should create a media fire
and get some more ppls attention, something like a hashtag on twitter or something #pathofdisconnectoccured how u guys like that, we could count/share our disconnects/game freezes and daily storys there pretty sure this topic could go on for 100 pages and ggg would still not reply or seemingly give a damn in any kind of form. for all we know their working on the next mtx while 1/4 their playerbase is constantly crashing tbh i might just go play dota again and keep on following that sad story we are going thrue here from the side lines. |
