Should I buy some specific items if I wan to make ultimate version?

Hello, what are all those passives like "Destroyer" and "Wrecking Ball" for? They say "Increased Physical Damage with Two Handed melee weapons" and with Oro's we deal no physical damage and the fire damage we deal is not even converted from physical. Do those passive have any effect? Or are you taking all of that just because of the attack speed?
