Weekly Beta Report Six

Like others have said, I too am worried about 3.0.0. as so many things get nerfed into the ground, like ES. And because of game changes like very high boss hp... this game is an arpg, we are meant to kill things considerably fast. Meaning slow/long-to-kill bosses do not belong in a game like this. This also hits those with low damage output the most.

What I also like about arpg's, is that some things are overpowered(note: not broken!) as that gives me something to aim for as a non-top player. There is no point to a developer playing whack-a-mole with the current top builds, as there will always be a top build.

And what is the point in removing things(like lesser minions, leaguestones/reliq keys, etc), these add very nive gameplay dynamics, for now and the future. Things like leaguestones also give players like me, who fully clear maps and play non-optimal maps, some additional rewards as we are able to get 100% out of our gameplay. As opposed to the clear speed meta, yet you are removing this non-clear speed meta option.

You guys at GGG are doing awesome work though, and I love the game. I just hope that PoE does not stray too far from the path on which it began.

Just some of my observations.

PS: Never had any issues with normal lab, or cruel lab on any build.

Your inability to think as clearly as I do is remarkable, maybe a skill of its own. I don't play clearspeed builds, but that doesn't mean the game isn't built around clear speed out of fucking nowhere. This game used to be about making a build good enough to survive, now it's "If my build can't clear Shaper's Realm in 30 seconds, it's trash!!!!" Ladder has nothing to do with this, I was just talking about the direction of the game lmao

As for pathfinder, all I said was she was the girlfriend class, and it's because of alarmingly powerful flasks, which require no real luck when rolling, and some of her Ascendant passives. Don't know why you brought Vigilant Strike into the argument, unless it was your way of trying to frame the argument...

Shaper should never be steamrolled, but not impossible to kill without being a meta-whore. That's the gist of what I was saying really.

Don't get me wrong, I like feeling powerful, and like my efforts to make a good character have paid off, but fuck. You want to feel overpowered, then go play D3. Just nerf the OP flasks and buff some old, useless ones like Rotgut or Sorrow of the Divine. Don't know why everyone's shitting their pants over flasks being nerfed, it's like when everyone thought block was being overnerfed lmao

Anyway that's all. I'm fucking tired, don't feel like arguing my point THAT much. I support the nerfs, none of you have to like it, blah blah.
