thought you guys might enjoy this
I bought the CE versions of WoW over the past several years but never played much of the game. I enjoy the hardware they came with, art book, mouse pad, cd soundtrack etc, but I can not play the game without having to pay the sub. In total I spent about $600 on Wow and can't even play the game.
$600 for a PoE supporter pack? Any day, anytime. "I've played a lot of videogames. It's my primary recreational activity. Best games ever: Elden Ring and Diablo 4."

" Feel free to take your own advice, but with regard to juvenile comments such as that. " Development teams have finite resources; including both money and time. When a developer is creating new MTX for supporter packs, new MTX to be sold separately, or new MTX for promotions such as the recent Twitch one, they are not creating actual content for the game. Both cost time and money. Both require people to work on them. While it is not truly a zero-sum game, to present the two as being unrelated is preposterous. You commented on the value of spending $15 on Diablo III in comparison to spending $40 in Path of Exile. My response focused on the context for the hypothetical $40 purchase in PoE. That the reason GGG don't have more to give you in return for your money is they make almost everything available for free. Blizzard charged for Act V and the Crusader. GGG gave the Scion and Act IV away for free. Had GGG put them in the store, you could've purchased them and felt you got a better deal for your money. And yet you still got that new act and class. That context was the crux of my point. And it's not the "fanboi rage" you so rudely and dismissively attempted to portray it as being. You were literally - as you appear fond of putting in bold - discussing what you get in return for your money. The point that I made, which I stand by, is you don't need to spend money on Path of Exile because the important things (e.g. Act IV & Scion) are given to you for free. If you're going to invest money in either game, the overall health of the games is relevant. The size and frequency of updates they receive is relevant. " This is technically true (the best kind of truth?). I was responding to this post where you contrast purchases in Diablo III with purchases in Path of Exile, and make the comment that a purchase in D3 "doesn't require duplicates." I don't think it's a stretch to take that as a jab at MTX in PoE; you were literally comparing the two. So GGG don't "make" people purchase duplicates. Duplicates are just "required." Not what I'd consider a meaningful correction, but to each their own. " The words "pro consumer" were never attributed to you. I didn't put them in quote marks. I didn't edit them in quote tags to suggest they were a part of your post. I put those words in my post. Because I was saying them. Because people say things in discussions. Do me a favour. Take your "fanboi rage" insults, your accusations of "libel", and keep them to yourself. They do nothing to contribute to the points that you raise, they're merely a distraction which gives people the opportunity to criticise your posts without having to even address your points. And if you don't want them doing that, don't make it easy. If you seriously believe that I am guilty of breaking the law, then GGG's web servers will have my IP address. You can get a lawyer representing them to subpoena it from them. If they don't have it logged (and they do), then I will gladly give it to Support. If you were lightly accusing me of breaking the law when I haven't, then I would ask that you don't. The simple comparison between money spent on GGG or Blizzard falls flat, because one doesnt offer content for your money and the other demands it.
