[3.6 Video Guide] Beginner's Guide SRS Baron Life [HC/SC/Atziri/Uber Izaro/Shaper Viable]

Call me a newb, but is there a place that says what gems go in what pieces of gear? I am a bit confused about the setup, and I think i understand whats going on, but I'd appreciate if there was a link or something that would should me what gems go in what pieces of gear. I know there are a few choices, but any help would be great.

Hey guys,

To elaborate on the gem links, I recommend going through the "Gearing & Stat Priorities" section which basically shows this:

What base items to use:

The base items of this build really doesn't matter as we don't care about the base defensive stats such as armour(str), evasion(dex) or energy shield(int). So instead the base items will follow the stat priority listed in this guide.
However, the attribute requirement of the items will base how hard it is to chrome (color) which will be the only thing we will think about when planing our gearing.
So, if you need 4 blue sockets in an item the recommendation is to get an item that has Energy Shield (int) base or a hybrid base which includes Energy Shield (int).

By using this chrome calculating website: https://siveran.github.io/calc.html you can easily track how hard it will be to chrome the colors you need. The gems are in the gem section, showing what gems we use and which ones that needs to be linked. Since the build promotes the possibility to have different type of base items on different slots it would be impossible for me to say that "this goes in the helmet, and that goes in the gloves" as it might be completely different for the next player.

So what you want to do is check which colors each gem has, then use the tools provided to check where it would be most cost effective to place them in your gear slots!

Examples:

Defence:

- Cast When Damage Taken, Immortal Call

This is 2 red colors. And we also know that there are 2 stand alone sockets in the list being Desecrate & LvL 1 Clarity or Haste. This means that 1 way of socketing this in a 4L item is to get an item with the colors 2R1B1G or 2R2G. Using the tools provided we know that Strength based items (usually armour) has a much higher % chance to hit red sockets & dexterity (usually evasion gear) has the same for green sockets. This means that if you are planing to put 2R & 2G in an item you can chose from 3 different items as 2 off-colors is very cheap to get by manually chroming (this is easily checked with the tools).

1) Pure armour (str) item = easy red, 2 green off-colors.
1) Pure evasion (dex) item = easy green, 2 red off-colors.
3) Hybrid armour/Evasion (str/dex) item = easy green & red color.

The reason I'm not forcing the guide in to 1 way of thinking is that when you are browsing poe.trade for items to use for your build there are now more options for you to go for which means you are able to optimize the stats you get from each piece, specially as the base defensive stat isn't something we care about, we only look at it for the sake of coloring our gear for the sockets.

It does, just not on you. Generosity makes the aura apply to your minions & partymembers with augmented power. Commander of Darkness amplifies this further but you are never affected as the summoner as the aura will never affect you through Generosity. This is partially why we are running Clarity till we get the BM approach in which case we switch Clarity to a LvL Clarity & Haste :)

Ah right i am not using clarity as i dont have that much mana issues, but i guess its worth for the res buff from commander

Absolutely, just use a lvl 1 to get CoD :)

Nerfed?
SRS got buffed, Baron got balanced, it is still brokenly overpowered despite that.

SRS was super strong before Baron existed and just got buffed. :P

Just wanted to pop in here and say thanks for posting the build.

I'm on level 69, in act 9, and I'm starting to feel a lot of pressure, my damage is getting weaker for the content, and abysses are getting tougher.

I have only a 4 link helm with +2 to minion (srs, minion dmg, minion speed and elemental dmg w atcks)

I have 6 link mace in stash, but only 2 blue sockets. What can I do to increase my damage?
