[3.0 HC-Beta] Elementalist / Necromancer MOM 5-6 Golem Summoner [videos]

Got another Core Drop, success this time. Same lvl 18 golems and still on 5-link, but I re-specced slightly to take the two 6% minion faster casting nodes on the way to Gravepact. Comparing the first Core attempt to this one, these appear to actually be quite significant. Also rolled the map easy this time. Realized that on the previous attempt I had included the "enemies get 2 extra projectiles mod." This made the main boss much more difficult--significantly more difficult than I had thought it would. For your entertainment, videos of three of the four boss fights in core are linked below. I missed the Maligaro fight--accidently clicked into the arena and wasn't able to start camera before the fight ended. But it was very similar in duration to the other two. The build's tankiness is inadvertently shown off at approximately 3:25 of the Malachai fight.

No T16 drop yet, but given how smooth that last Core run went, and given that the gems are still only lvl 18, I am hopeful that this build will be Guardian/Shaper viable.
Hey man! Doin this build and feeling awesome, only the problem is to obtain anima gem : (.

So can you add your gem links, and also gear examples it will be usefull for many players, also post your actuall skill tree. (its much usefull then video guide for many players).

Also was you thinking about vaal haste/vaal skeli on bosses, or adding 3rd curse, like enfeeble on cwdt? Kinda can be even more safer.

Link to Current skill tree at lvl 88. Keep in mind that this is lvl 88 less whatever additional skill points we will get in acts 9 and 10, so it will inherently be a bit underpowered.

Still no T16 drop.

Given Our effective life, I haven't felt the need for additional defense other than seething flasks. We are also using all available gem slots to good purpose, so I would not personally recomend adding in a vaal skill or third curse. That said, by all means test it out if it appeals to you. These guides are only meant to be a jumping off point.

Awesome build and guide, was easy to follow the YT video.

I rush to act 8 in couple hours, I went 3 flame golem and 1 stone golem. Leveling was pretty smooth.

Ran 3 or 4 maps (tier 1 and 2) at lvl 60 and the golems crush everything on their way.

So, I have a confession to make now.

This was my first minion build, ever. I have mostly done totems in the past. Because of that, I misunderstood some of the minion mechanics and believed that there were advantages from being elementalist that actually don't apply. Apparently none of the buffs to elemental damage or penetration actually apply to minions.

You actually only get two relevant advantages from being an elementalist, and they are both in the first ascendancy (Liege of the Primordial):

1. Extra Golem
2. Golems immune to elemental damage

Now these advantages are not small, and they are excellent for the leveling process. But after I got to level 90 (I am now level 90) and realized my mechanics error, I decided (in the name of science) to completely respec to necromancer. Having play-tested both elementalist and necro at lvl 90, I can confirm that, as powerful as I felt the elementalist version was, the necromancer version is even stronger at this level. This is primarily because

1. Necromancer gets another 105% increased minion damage to more than make up for the lost golem
2. The Mistress of Sacrifice ascendancy (Your offering skills also affect you) can be used both for flesh offering (better movement speed=better clear speed) and a high lvl CWDT setup with CWDT, Desecrate, and Bone Offering (in that clockwise order) for added safety during fights. (Bone offering at this level will add over 30% to block and spell block while active)

HOWEVER, until you have your anima stone and have fully ascended (or at least ascended through merc) I believe you are going to be better off leveling as an elementalist for the sake of the fourth golem, and then respeccing to necromancer later. If you do however, I encourage you to take only the one elementalist ascendancy you need (Liege) as opposed to all four. So that it costs you 10 regrets to respec instead of the 40 it cost me . . . .

I believe it does not. My new understanding on minion damage mechanics is that the only things that affect them are:
1. Nodes that are specifically labeled "minion"
2. Gems linked directly to the minion gem
