[3.10] Molten Strike Jugg (Thread restored for historical purposes)
" yo yo, welcome back ;) You sure about not liking Molten Strike? Very fun to play with 10 projectiles and you can def do Shaper with it. Tectonic is a bit weak in T16+ Single Target. Cyclone is just for mapping, but fun too... Reave is really good for mapping too if u haven't tried that. Either way switching from one to the other doesn't take much effort, so just pick whatever sounds the most fun to you. Last edited by corosou#7048 on Apr 13, 2018, 9:07:24 PM

Quick video update..
First Red Tier Elder attempt and kill with Molten Strike: YouTube: MoltenStrikeJuggernaut: The Elder (Red Tier, 1 Death) Hadn't bothered with Elder until today, figured I'd give it a shot with the new setup and I like it! One death to slam, cuz I suck, but otherwise pretty tanky and DPS spot on when hitting the sweet-spot with MS + Ancestral Call. Still need more practice using the skill, but definitely very strong and fun to play. Sadly, I don't think I will ever be able to do Uber Elder, just not good enough and probably would need to push for more life or get super good at it. We'll see... Made some changes to gear, tree and skill links... Setup for single target DPS: 7ex With Added Cold I gain a substantial bonus to Shaper DPS: For mapping, I swap "Elem Dmg With Attacks" > "Multistrike" and "Conc." > "IAoE." DPS is enough to clear T16 trash and Red Beasts NP! Occasionally you might run into a tanky Beast, you can just back up a sec and swap Multi for Elem and it will take care of it. I also switched from Vortex to Frost Bomb on the lowbie CWDT setup: Works great! Specially cuz I now have so much Cold Dmg. that I freeze packs just with Leap Slam alone, and that also means a lot of freezing balls!! Everything is freezing/shattering, it's pretty fun :) Finally, I made some changes to the tree to gain another Jewel slot and more resists, cuz I was a bit low and it's working out pretty well so far. Anyway I'm sure I can tweak some more, just gotta keep testing. https://pastebin.com/PVhS0Y3X GL! Last edited by corosou#7048 on Apr 14, 2018, 1:51:24 PM

a real alternative to the deidbellow? (not so simple to find one with the enchant...)

" Yes, I realize an enchanted Deidbellow is a very very rare item that no one enchants. You have a lot of options: Starkonja's, Devoto's, Lightpoacher, Abyssus, Alpha's Howl, Rat's Nest. And yes, you can use Curse on Hit, but you'll have to figure out what skill to use for the "hit". Finally, you can still run HoA/HoI, but I like the Aspect skills. GL! " You're forgetting that I picked up Enduring Cry for regen, and a Blood of the Karui. I wasn't running a life flask before, now I am, and Combat Stamina is not a requirement. Regen was more important when I was using Nebuloch. Dying Sun is great, you can definitely pick it up, I am just broke to buy it. |

Quick video update...
Dropped Fangs of Frost and picked up Vitality Void for some added Life Leech. Here's a couple of tests with it on T16 Minotaur / Phoenix deathless: YouTube: MoltenStrikeJuggernaut - T16 Minotaur / Phoenix (Boss Fights, Life Leech Test, Deathless) I also picked up this and once again have Whirling Blades!: GL! |

dps lose with Grelwod but seem to work
when i change gems for boos fight is not better to change ancestral call for ele damage and not multistrike? |
|
" No DPS loss, you're forgetting you gain 2 projectiles. Multistrike locks you in place. Very dangerous on T16+ bosses. Anything below T16 is fine. EDIT: Forgot to mention that there is a trick with Ancestral Call that makes it very worth using instead of Multi-strike. If you attack a single target just outside the melee range, Ancestral Call's extra projectiles will hit the same target. It's kinda tricky to get right, but worth the effort to practice getting good at. Last edited by corosou#7048 on Apr 16, 2018, 11:07:38 PM
