What Gems should be Q20 now?
1. Elemental Focus, Conc Effect, Burn Effect, Increased Area (Damage) Duh
2. Vitality, Purity of Fire, Cyclone (Area) Meh
3. Righteous Fire (Increased Spell Damage?) That does nothing for us right?

What Gems should be Vaal'd now?
1. Purity of Fire (21) Duh
2. Burn effect (Q23) ???

Well each gem has it's bonuses from q20. For us the aura gems are not worth to q20 as we don't care about give aura to others.

for each of them q20 means 10% increased damage.
For RF
is 20% increased spell damage, and vaaling to 21 gives 40% MORE spell damage. You will say that we don't care about spell damage as RF. Yes. But the SR we use in Doon is a spell and all the bonuses apply. So q20 from RF and lvl 21 of it will give a more powerful SR.
For aura is useful to vaal to lvl 21
. Is important that PoF to go to lvl 23 for +5 max fire resist. For vitality each level adds 0.05% HP regen.
Stone golem q20 adds to golem life so it will not die quick.
lvl 21 will give a bit more HP regen (110 HP vs 105 HP at lvl 20).
For cyclone, lvl 1 is sufficient, but q20 will add to area, so you get to hit more mobs. If it is linked to Life gain on Hit, you get more HP for each spin.

For fortify quality adds to the time we got it active after a melee hit.

For
quality gives increasing critical chance.

If you want to speak about efficiency, then go for q20 on RF support gems first, then on SR, CoH and curse. Rest in the end.
For vaal go with PoF and support gems of RF. Then the rest.
Gonna start up a second character with this because it looks so fun. I see a lot of people going similar trees and builds but with berserker. Anyone have a sense of the pros and cons of that as opposed to chieftain as op recommends? Is one consistently higher damage? The baked-in fire resist on chieftain and +to burning damage seem strong, but so is 40% more damage...
How does this build proc EE again? And What stats to look for on a Rare weapon? (the uniques ones are hella expensive still)

Thanks cool guide!

You must have a piece of equipment with cold or lightning damage like this:
. That way you increase the cold or lightning resistance but drop also with -50% fire resistance of mobs you hit.
You must avoid to have add x-y damage on a piece of gear.

About berseker we have disscused before. Is not my play style to spam cry continously and use flasks all the time. i like to play relax. And not to forget the 40% more damage comes with 10% increased damage taken. Not very useful when you will start meet hard hitting bosses. But we will see how many bersekers with RF will be able to do Uber and Shaper.
Hi, thanks for build!

What about using BV instead of cyclone:

BV - Increased Critical Strike Support - added cold or added lightning damage

EO triggered much more often then with cyclone.

No need in items with added cold or lightning damage.

cons: no fortify

Also BV will not work with life gain on hit for those who still need that extra HP.
Fortify is great for the build. Not only Physical damage is reduced by 20% but also elemental damage from hits (although PoB calculates the reduction also for DoT). I would not drop fortify from the build.
But let's see the pro: EO triggered more often. If I can keep EO uptime 100% then why would I need to refresh it more often? There is no real benefit in this imo. Added cold or lightning damage gems work also with cyclone/frenzy or leap slam/shield dash.
Great build! Really enjoying it so far. Leveling as Sunder was easy, and switching to RF went fairly well.

I just wanted to make one suggestion for other players - this build works really well for magic-finding because you don't need to put an item rarity on your main attack skill to do it. Just alter your cyclone setup to: Cyclone->Fortify->Culling Strike->Item Rarity

...and put that into an item rarity helm. It only costs the life you'd get from LGoH, and whatever stat loss it takes to equip your MF helm. and you get ~100 IIR with a decent helm and gem. Great for squeezing extra loot out of content that isn't particularly challenging.

Actually cyclone level adds melee range now so you need to have it at a level which gives +3 to the range.
Does Witchfire and Sulfur flask both work at same time? What flasks do yall run as life based rf?
