Eye Strain Reduction Tips?

f.lux and turn the brightness way down. I am on the computer constantly and these two things took me from a lot of eye pain to absolutely fine - funny though if I turn the brightness up or it adjusts automatically for more than 5 minutes I feel it very quickly.

I keep my brightness at about 20/100 on all devices. Its actually crazy how bright they make screens these days.

I use a 40 inch monitor sitting in my recliner 6 feet back. No I strain and easy to take a nap if need be.

You can buy cheap computer glasses off Amazon for like 15 bucks, as good as the expensive Gunnars. They help a ton. You wont realize it until you actually start wearing them how much they help on eye strain/headaches/eye fatigue. For 12-15 bucks its worth a shot.
Since winter 2012-2013, when I started having trouble falling asleep due to the blue light from my screen, I turned the blue light down to 0% in the screen settings, installed f.lux, and ordered a couple CAT Dozer (safety) orange-tinted glasses.

(The color will seem wrong at first, after installing f.lux and turning blue way down, but after a while, you get used to it. Only problem can be telling green and blue sockets apart).

Since then, I have very rarely had trouble falling asleep, and generally get sleepy before midnight. Turns out I also had magnesium deficiency, and taking Mg supplement helped with that too.

This year, the dozer glasses were worn out (scratched / foggy from wrong cleaner), and turns out they've become really expensive here in Europe, can't order from the same place.

So, since not using those glasses, my eyes sometimes start to hurt when I stay up late, so I take that as a sign to turn off my PC and go to bed, if I'm not sleepy.
Player numbers are plummeting.
Thank you all for the responses!!! Much appreciated! I got F.lux. I'm going to look into so glasses too. Thanks again!

Amazon link please.
Honestly as many said before, just take breaks. Like around every hour stand up, walk around a bit and do some stretching, that will not only help your eyes but also avoid possible future problems with your back and legs.
