[2.6] CI FrostBlades Raider/Pathfinder [Permafreeze T15 bosses, 4:17 Shaper Run, 1:49 Chayula timer]

I've been following this guide and just hit level 90. Everything is going swimmingly so far. I do have a question though. You guys with rare claws, how did you craft them? Essences? Chaos spam? I've tried just about everything with no luck. I'm trying to reserve money to get skyforths so getting a 15+ex claw is out of the question really.

Alt/regal/multi-mod crafting has been the best for me. I used 1,000 chaos spamming an ilvl 83 Eye Gouger and didn't get anything. I've used about 15,000-20,000 alterations this league and this was the best thing I got. I had 2 other claws that I crafted that were 330-360 pdps before I got my current claw. I'm pretty sure I got insanely lucky though.

Right now im using Frostblades-WED-MS-FA-Added Cold-Hypothermia.
While Lvling my MFD,Cold Pen and Crit on my other weapon Slot.

Whats your opinion on Added Cold, since its a nice Flat boost.
Also no FA? Isnt a fast attack speed one of the most important things for our build?

If I get claws like 350+ pdps but without crit chance is it really a bad thing?

can anybody tell me how much of a difference there is between pathfinder and raider on single target

I would follow w888u's advice. He's already crafted a >360 pdps claw and now a >400 pdps claw. BUT I would also save up for Skyforth first before attempting to craft a better claw if I were you. That allows more time for better claws to enter the market.

Hey! I think Added Cold is a poorer damage gem for the melee attack compared to the other options available (such as MPD).

I find FA a waste of a gem slot if you've already got plenty of attack speed on your tree and from jewels. I'll put it this way, it's better to punch quickly and forcefully rather than slapping someone extremely quickly with a wet noodle (hope that makes sense).

Your gear looks decent enough! That cluster in the bottom right corner is very nice, I agree. I'm still trying to think of a way to include it in the min-maxed build without losing too much dps/movement speed/ES/block chance but its looking very difficult. Your tree has a ton more ES than mine. You can probably afford to give up some of those nodes if you upgrade to an atziri's splendour. Overall your setup and resulting DPS looks nice enough for farming red maps. If you intend to progress beyond that though, you may want to start thinking about grabbing the nodes with %incr. flask charges gained as those are the key nodes that will ensure you have enough flask uptime versus tough bosses.

I would prefer to get claws with 300+ pDPS and with at least 8% crit chance rather than 350+ pDPS and no crit chance if that helps.

In short boss fights, i.e. <12 seconds, Raider will outdps Pathfinder in single target DPS as Raider will still have access to flasks. Beyond that, Pathfinder wins.

It can kill shaper provided you have enough ES (at least 9.5k to be able to tank slam if you don't manage to dodge it) and have either a good claw or touch of anguish with good jewellery. I would recommend not doing ele reflect. That's about the only mod I would reroll on.

yo experts :P here i am again. with a budget of 270C, what do you think i should snipe next that will make the most difference? Atm i am trying to get one more jewel slot once i reach lvl 90 then it will take a WHILE to get higher but will see. here are my stats which are 230k lower then what invalesco has which is a HUGE difference considering I get to his stats using totem, flasks and vaal haste. I doubt that a simple ring or two will make such a difference or one more jewel. Is it a claw difference that is so huge? I am sure i'm missing few K in jewels and accessories so I wonder whether to get better claw=save up ex (coz I assume with my DPS I wont be able to farm t16 or shaper) or to get slight upgrades and wait for a better claws to hit market.
