What about a Daressos Defiance as a Chest? Got the Chance to get one for nearly no currency but am wondering if it will be of any use :)

Not really my favorite item. It is stronger on Acrobatic based character. Unless you have a 6l, Bringer of Rain is better.

What Daresso chest does is it helps acrobatic and evasion based character to survive one hit better with endurance charges. The build does not scale enough evasion to be using the item to its full potential when you have better items out there.

According to the Wiki, The Retch is obtainable via recipe only. Is this information still valid for Legacy? Or is it a drop? It just seems odd because the ingredients are cheaper than what The Retch itself is selling for.

They are what they are, Talisman league specific item, that is not league specific in Legacy anymore. The method of obtaining one is still the same, which is Feast Bind + Faminebind + 1 Fusing and the price of it is about 40c each piece and 80c for the final product last time I checked in Legacy league.

Overall I think it's a superb item especially for Slayer with Endless Hunger.

I ended up changing your build around slightly (and going towards templar aoe radius) but used it as a baseline (went RT axes, triple aura, free mana skills). I didnt go right on the tree and haven't picked up vitality void so my leech is only 2.2% and 60% leech rate modifier.

I'm wondering if brutal fervour is worth going? (i could get unwavering stance and bleed flask isnt a problem) Struggling to get my head around the leech maths

Brutal Fevor very important, not because of stun and bleed immunity. I would suggest going to Hematophagy instead of Vitality Void if you are using Soul Taker.

The reason is that "% maximum life added to leech rate" is all around the best leech properties because it increase leech rate cap. You start out with default 20% max life as leech rate, and through Brutal Fevor and Hematophagy or Vitality Void you get that up to 38%/35% respectively.

What that means is you will leech up to 38% life per sec.
