Right but with 20% cdr it should be 8 aps but taking into server account, the 7.81 or 7.68 still isn’t low enough which is confusing to me why it needs to be lower than that. I guess the server can’t handle higher cd, so we gotta drop to like 15cdr and around what the other post said about 7.5... idk

As far as i know you dont have to drop any cdr , it just doesnt matter if its 14% , 20% or 49% - the next threshold starts with 51% if i understand this correctly. The server ticking thing makes it so 14% has the same max triggers per second as 20% or 49% - it only matters for other things that aren't triggered on every "server tick cooldown".

but if you have 14%+ cdr from the belt you can just see the tooltip of discharge will be showing 0.13 discharges per second

1 : 0.13 = 7.69 - thats your threshold

ive tested it and 100% sure

but if you have 20% cdr, logically, you would have 0.12 discharges per second, but for some strange reason it doesnt happen. you will still have 0.13. idk why.

Did you have any issue with trigger @ 7.69?

Have any legion jewel good for this build ?
Great build btw OP, I’ve been playing this as a standard build for many leagues. I figured I’d offer my leveling approach this league, as It’s been the smoothest and most enjoyable leveling I’ve had with this build to date.

LEVELING GUIDE

Spoiler
Although I love the build, I’ve always struggled leveling it. Leveling with other skills while trying to maintain a passive tree that’s easy to switch over has always been a challenge to me (a.k.a. clumsy and slow) until this league when I stumbled onto an Ice Crash build that really works well for leveling. So I put this together for people who are struggling with getting past that “level as another build” concept. If your perfectly happy with how this build levels, ignore this thread!

This was disseminated from Bashtarts “Ice Crash it All” build, and he gets all the credit for the build and gearing. But the tree is almost identical to the final build prior to swap, and it’s very smooth, fast, and enjoyable to level with this build, it almost feels like a complete build as you level.

PLEASE NOTE: none of this info is about the final build. It’s just a cheap and fun way to get to that final build. Cost is free: 10 points to respec with the below trees, leaving you 10 respec points left from quests, so plenty to move a few points around on the tree if you so desire.

If you are starting the league with this build, also read the Farming section for how to setup your tree and gear to handle the lower tier maps for farming currency for the Mjolnir build.

PASTEBINS:
Level 45 (around the completion of act’s 1-5):
PoB Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/JFGpANf9
If you struggle with survival, you can extend the lower tree to the Life leech hub and put a few points in there. Gear with life leech is also an option.

Level 68 roughly (pre switch): End of the storyline with all free points.
PoB Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/AdLcdeW9

Level 68 post switch: Barring any Stat issues:
PoB Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/SeJ50qTQ
Also I put points in Diamond skin as a personal preference, at the time my resists were challenged. You can follow the main build and be just fine.

From there once you hit 68 and/or can swap into the appropriate gear, switch over to the main build. KEEP IN MIND STAT REQUIREMENTS WHEN YOU SWITCH! It also runs on cheap uniques, and since the required gear for the final build is cheap this league, overall this is a great league starter, or cheap secondary build no matter how you level it.

GEAR
Level with common melee uniques, fitting in as much raw physical or cold damage as possible. Examples of good uniques:
Helm: I use The Peregrine until 67 and switch to Devoto’s
Chest: Bramblejack, swap or upgrade to Wall of Brambles at 30
Belt: Meginord’s Girdle until resist necessitate a swap, then switch to a good leather or Stygian Vise
Gloves: Hrimsorrow for cold conversion and hard cold damage.Upgrade to Hrimburn if your motivated.
Boots: Victario’s Flight until resists necessitate swap. Then use a decent rare with resists, life, and movement speed.
Rings: rares with Physical/cold damage. A Praxis at lvl 22 is almost game changing, worth the investment. Resist as they become necessary.
Amulet: a rare with resists, physical/cold damage, and life leech if possible.

WEAPONS
I start with Ground slam/sunder until 28 when I switch to Ice crash. Use:
Brightbeak + Temestuous steel until 50, then switch to Dual Frostbreath. All very cheap.

GEMS
Main skill: Ice Crash > Concentrated effect > Elemental damage > Rage > Melee physical
in order of importance. You can swap out Conc Effect for Increased AoE for trash, I never bother.

Support skills: Ancestral Protector for attack speed. Leap Slam, etc. Same Stuff as build.

Auras: Herald of Ice, Blood and sand, Flesh and Bone. Swap Herald with Hatred once you get it.

You can also swap B&S/F&S with Vitality for extra regen if you need it. Mana can be tight with the full setup, so if your mana isn’t solid, then you can drop Flesh&Stone, it’s not needed for leveling. With Praxis, I had no issues with all 3. you can add a jewel with +mana her hit for even better regen.

That’s it! I know it seems like allot of gear planning for a leveling process, but it’s all real cheap, and made leveling this build enjoyable for me for the first time in leagues. That and gear planning is fun :) . End build is obviously awesome and worth the trip either way.

FARMING WITH THIS BUILD

Spoiler
Yes, you can actually farm with this build if you chose to run this as a league starter. It’s obviously not optimum, but can do quite well with Ice crash to farm the lower tier maps for currencies to purchase the gear for the Mjolnir setup. The cost of respec is still cheap: free. Total respec points needed to convert this tree is 16, and you get 20 from quests. Here’s what I would use for Farming…

SKILL TREE
https://pastebin.com/yyeS13c0

the idea behind this setup is to maximize your potential with Ice crash while keeping the tree “Mjolnir friendly” and keeping the cost of switching as low as possible. You essentially are taking a few extra skill points for life leech (a necessity for this setup). With the prevalence of gem slots, you have plenty to buff your attack speed and cold damage.

GEMS
Ice Crash: Ice Crash > Concentrated Effect > Elemental Damage < Rage > Life Gain on Hit > Melee Physical / Ruthless

The above gems are for the Hatred/B&S/F&S setup, or you can run Hatred/Vitality for better regen. If your lucky enough to get a watchers eye with the Vitality buff “Life gain on hit” then you can swap the LgoH for Ruthless.

Leap Slam: Leap Slam > Faster Attacks > Blood Magic > Fortify
Auras: Hatred > Blood and Sand > Flesh and Stone > Enlighten
Other: Ancestral Protector > Elemental Damage > Melee Physical / Shockwave

Use the rest of the gem slots for leveling your Mjolnir gems.

*NOTE: on AP, I found a decent scepter for my offhand that had elemental and faster attacks (elder item). If you can find one for cheap with decent damage, it’s worth using your AP in it for the extra damage. Don’t spend too much though...your saving for your Mjolnir setup.

GEAR
Chest: 5 link Belly of the Beast is a great item to use. Alternate is rare with life/resist.
Head: Use your Devoto’s
Neck: Rare
Rings: Praxis + rare or double rare if your mana is fine.
Belt: Rare leather or Stygian vise
Boots: Rare
Gloves: Hrimburn
Weapons:
run the dual Frostbreath until you can pick up dual Doryani’s Catalyst, OR a Doryani’s and a good rare shaper scepter.
Jewels: Raw Physical/cold damage, attack speed (attack speed with mace as well).

Rares should always prioritize Resists / Life > Raw Physical > Raw cold > % Elemental damage.

Enchantments should revolve around the same. Weapon enchants for a rare should be Elemental damage or Attack Speed + Quality (Syndicate enchant).

Jewels with cold damage and mace attack speed are cheap, so your not losing out on much currency, and you can always sell them afterwards to gain some back. Secondary is resists. No need for Str/Int on these since you won’t need the high levels of stats until you switch.

This build can easily take you through tier 1 and 2 maps to farm for currency to get your Mjolnir setup, and much of the gear is worth keeping for other builds, or you can sell once you get the Mjolnir setup finished.

I'm running a Cast while Channeling + Arc + Wave of Conviction for mapping, but I'm having trouble clearly legion packs whenever I trigger the monolith. Aside from getting more movement speed to Cyclone through more things, is there any other suggestions for spells to slot into the setup?

Perhaps Spark or some nova spell? I'm not too certain how to go about clearly more legion mobs as it is.

Any suggestion would be helpful.
Hi all!
Another version of MjolnJuggDischarge

Try to use another charge generator (50% when hit + 20% when hit while channeling). Slow, but safe. Can run any mod (with anti-reflect watcher), but %avoid ailments and no regen pretty annoying.

Main setup - Cyclone-CwC-BV-Combustion-AOE-Mana leech
Mjoln setup - Discharge-Combustion-Contr. destruction

Pantheon - Lunaris+Yugul

Now try Zerker with his insane More AS, but with std charge gen setup.
Compare with Jugg
1) Better clear speed. From asc we got a lot of AS => leap slame much more faster
2) Better charge gen. In a total we got -190% incr crit chance => more hits can generate pCharges
3) Worse survival. Yeap, it's not a Jugg and i brok def from reflect dmg =\

Hope it may be useful to someone =)

So in your jugger setup you dropped power charges and therefore ton of dmg.
In your zerker setup all you do is switch juggers defenses for zerkers faster leap slam ? Juger reaches the attack speed cap so going faster is just a dps loss as you miss casts thx to server cooldown ticks. Am i missing something or you provided incomplete information?

Main reason - i try to bypass new charges gen with cyclone. Before 3.7 cyclone roll crit on use => we got charges until we stop spinning, for now hit=crit roll => if we got 5 charges via discharge hit our cyclone crit chance will be around 5 * 3.4 = 17% => each 6 hit of cyclone on max pCharges we got 0 pCharge.

So, Jugg fully ignore romira's in charges gen and lose around 16-25% of calc DPU on max charges.

Zerker have ~12 APS with Blitz and deal 5 (cyclone*2+arc+discharge+cwc BV) hits with ~0 crit chance before discharge => on first look this charges gen more stable.
