I've been thinking about the trouble I had with T15 elder, and it seems that all of my deaths were caused by difficulty moving quickly after using cyclone. It seems that there is a long delay between lifting off of cyclone and actually being able to move with shield charge. Also, the first attempt at shield charge was usually ignored since the cyclone was not finished.

Is there another skill besides cyclone that could be used effectively on dangerous bosses to improve mobility? And of course not lose too much damage.

I could have avoided the one elder skill (siphon) that kept killing me very reliably if I didn't have to wait for cyclone to finish.

You have to put your mouse on top of your character while cycloning. It is a known problem of cyclone. You also can not stay at a point while spinning.

To shorten the time between you release the skill and you actually are free to move, your mouse must be near to the character. This needs a bit practice.

At the time i started this build i also struggle because of this. But by the time i got hold of it. Now that timing so short for me i can release cyclone and almost instantly shield charge away.

Thanks for that. I have only played this build for a few days, having converted another that I got bored with. So I don't have the familiarity of someone who leveled with it.

So I gather that the duration of cyclone is affected at least partially from how far the cursor is from your character the last time it invoked. That gives me something to practice, and maybe things are not as bad as I thought.

You can test it at your hideout.
First click once to a point far away from your position. On the move, while cycloning, try to walk a different course.
Second put cursor on top of your character and click once. The distance you will see is the minimum travel distance of cyclone. More movement speed makes you finish this distance faster therefore reduces the locked time.

Mutiv, thank you again. This is all pretty basic once you practice it a little. It was obvious in seconds once I tried at my hideout as you suggested. I'll practice a bit and see if I can get better with it. I guess red elder is not the place to learn how to do it. :-)
Oh I suppose another option for the cyclone if you have a problem staying on a target is Vaal Cyclone.. not really sure how that skill feels to use myself, Vaal EQ also feels nice while shield charging but not great on bosses and really not needed in maps.
I feel this is a great build for general mapping and tanky but for incursions it's pretty terrible.

Don't know if this has been covered, but is there any way of fitting a kaoms heart into this? maybe using a hungry loop or some pseudo elder/shaper gear for extra links.
Rico I can't find the quote from one of the earlier pages but I believe you said Arc is more damage as a third link compared to ele focus/conc effect. Do you have the math for this? It seems for pure end game bossing the swap is worth it?

Basically all of the sustain this build has is from kingsguard, so not without changing a lot of gear. If you want to do that I imagine taking an ascendancy with generic spell leech would be a good place to start.
