I will either be sticking with HC ssf and not joining new leagues, or moving to SC ssf and playing every league that comes out. I can't do more HC ssf leagues, I'm just not good enough at the game to be able to make enough progress for it to be justifiable.

Thinking about the same thing, right now actually. I will probably move to legacy SSF and start the new sc league in 3.0.

I hope GGG will implement some kind of a system that allows SSF leagues to enjoy the new leagues.

It would be nice. But I am not holding out hope on GGG giving ANY bones to standard after the bullshit they pulled with the Zana mods. If I was a standard player I would be so pissed off.

If they introduce a way to work towards challenges and experience temp league content from a standard SSF viewpoint I will be playing on standard SSF. The whole league business doesn't mean much for SSF players since there is no economy - so it's just the fun modifiers and challenges.

Otherwise I will play temp league. I actually like fresh starts from nothing so its not the end of the world for me. I will miss some of my sweeeet gear I have found/made this league - but for all I know life could be the shit in 3.0 so my gear would be irrelevant anyway.

In non-ssf I use it as a standard item for any CI build I make. I mentioned before I'm bad at this so chayula and double curse enfeeble and temp chains is how I stay alive. I'll just be using it for whatever I'm running on CI until I die with it (which knowing me will probably be later this evening >.>). That's why I was chancing onyxs, because I can use them for a lot of builds.

Ty. I'm very grateful and excited to have got it, but tbh I'm not sure if chancing one unique in 5 years is all that lucky xD

In fairness, I haven't really tried to chance one before this league, I'd just trade for what I wanted. Obviously I used a lot more chances than it would have taken to just buy a Chayula in a normal league, but still, this is ssf and I got something I needed, so I'm happy :)

I don't understand what you mean. Every league this far has started with an empty stash, no matter if it's SSF or trade league.

I think he is referring to the fact that SSF is kind of detached from the whole 3 month temp league economy and that because gear is generally harder to acquire that most characters are long term projects.

I play life builds too, but at the moment I'm sticking to Occultist or Berserker. I do so because I feel they give me the best chance of survival.

A lot of people complain about dying to lag and dc's. I live in Cambodia so I've never played a game where I don't suffer from heavy lag, pingspikes etc, it's literally third world internet. See that 1.4k pingspike in the screenshot? Totally normal. In every game I play, I have to take it into consideration for what I'm building. In the case of PoE, having a wicked ward occultist with as much faster start of es recharge as possible, enfeeble+temp chains, and a full cwdt setup is about as "lagproof" as you can be.

Berserker is slightly less safe from a shitty internet perspective. The Cloaked in Savegry with VP combo only protects you if you are connected and synced enough to be attacking whatever is hitting you. If you suddenly DC or your ping spikes to 2k+, it does nothing to help you. Conversely, Wicked Ward keeps doing its thing for the few seconds between dcing and the game exiting.

I just want to live long enough to farm some cool shit so I have something to rebuild towards when I die. When that happens you end up in a perfectly sustainable and satisfying cycle of death and rebirth :)
