Recently, the Singaporean gateway has been .... unstable to say the least, and Californian gateway has been at around 140+ ping for myself.

I hope that a Japanese gateway will be considered in a near future.

I hope this will happen. I think there are more Japanese players than expected, and actually in the last few years PC gaming is growing in Japan. Usually some Japanese players are playing on Twitch, and I often see people talk about PoE on Japanese streams for other games. Also I saw PoE as a demo game being displayed in some Japanese PC shops where gamers visit (actually, more of these shops are opening recently too). With 3.0 releasing I also think this is a good time to attract more Japanese fans, and a local server would help with this. I hope GGG will consider it seriously.
