How much DPS are we losing if we switch to this? I'm considering it but not sure how this works... 5/6 Big zombies vs 10/12 small zombies (90% less phys damage) However that's 10/12 zombies hitting instead of only 5/6 assuming they can all reach the boss at once.

On the other hand I could simply weapon switch to Mon'tregul's Grasp when bossing.

Spoiler

At low maps you don't need to worry about their single target. Once you get up there, go for the 6L so you can add in poison. With 12 zombies using poison plus the added melee damage from them gaining strength, you're not gonna have a problem.
i have something im planing for this str stacking zombiemancer, but im not 100% sure that it would work
what im thinking is to go ahead and use jorhasts blacksteel and auto summon animated weapons
along with spamming srs, could potentially be an insane speed clearer

If you could actually get a hardcore viable tree for this, it sounds super exciting.

queens escape is the strongest summoner weapon in the game for a clear speed. nothing comes close

strictly speaking it is a chunky dps boost over montre

this is because montre has no implicit + minion damage which queens has and the more physical mod on montre is to offset the less zombies 100% more physical will off set 50% less zombies .. nothing more.

the farther your more mod is from the perfect 100% the larger the gap in dps is between it and queens escape.

also alot of minionspeed can solve ai problems with zombies since they will more aggressively react to your corrections.

the only major downside to queens is that the zombies wont be nearly as durable. when leveled fully (21 + level 4 empower) montre will account for about 40% of your zombies total life

I'm thinking for end-game:
Raise Zombies > Minion Dmg > Melee Phys Dmg > Fortify > Poison > Empower
Using Skin of the Loyal, would fortify offset the loss of life?
Yea zombie HP is a bit low for me atm. I have them in a 4L with my baron so that helps.

Ultimately I gotta go for the +3 empower, which is going to be a real hassle.

Don't forget that for minions most of the time resists are more important than EHP. Currently running purity of elements makes a big diff for me.

Fortify is definitely huge, but it sucks so hard using a defensive support.

I'm using Wither CwC to curse things

Works better with poison support?

Scored these bad rabbits:

I reckon I don't want NA with umbilicus

gonna 6-link the chest ofc. I ONLY PAID 5c FOR IT!!!

Just gonna say it:

The witch looks super sexy in platemail.
Quoting Saltychipmunk:
...I look at the new act 5 boss where you have to hide behind the statues to survive the bullet hell and all I can think is... how the fuck are zombies going to survive that?

They don't know what hiding is... they don't know what dodging is... they are morons.

trying this str stacking summoner out, using your tree as a vague template
so far so good, i chose the neco aegis route with victarios and got a 2nd int > str jewel along the way

this build is actually insane with srs, i dont think running specters will be as good as just srs, since most of the top tier specters dont benefit from the bonus melee phys damage off getting all your, str, beacon of corruption is also a good candidate for more deeps, since str gives the minions tons of life.

maybe some insane melee specter can be born out of this too lol

if you're already doing victarios, the flicker strikers (which you can get from Lab) are INSANE and SRS generate TONS of frenzy charges (esp with multistrike)

their AI is kinda janky though.

the whole reason why you dont hear many success stories for shaper and zombies is specifically because the hp on ilevel 26 zombies wasn't enough .. even with grotesque scaling

you can do guardians with them tho.

but for something like shaper .. only the beefiest of beefcake zombies are going to walk out of that fight

also fortify does nothing against degens..

this is why everyone is talking about montregules . normal zombies just dont have the hp pool for shaper

more importantly normal zombies dont usually have the sustain for shaper. most people dont appreciate this because of all the bullshit surrounding vaal pact and leech

but it is actually really hard to face tank the shapers attacks head on. many vp builds can only do it because they leech their entire hp pool every second .. in many cases we are talking a sustain of over 5k hp/s

so looking at zombies it is not just about having a huge hp pool or damage reduction .. it is also about how much hp they are getting back per second.

you want the hp pool so they survive the 3 golden testicle attack and the slams , but you want the regen and leech so that they survive the death beam and vortex bubbles
