[2.6] EK NOVA Pathfinder/Occultist Millions of DPS. UPDATED w/ Leveling Guide!

Ok small update from me. Did something stupid and finally found a 500ES Legacy Shavs for under 100ex and bought it (Been a dream since start of league). Respecced to LL and tried out all endgame content except Uber Atziri, although I think it's also doable, just about corner positioning on split phases.

I'm not sure about the final Auras but I do like Herald of Ice and Hatred for the insane and fun explosions. I did run Warlord's Mark + Vulnerability but I dont think Warlord's is really needed and ca be replaced with Temp Chains for further dmg. Was worried about my mana leech with only 240 unreserved. Despite that, Shaper with a Mana flask instead of my Rumi's was totally doable I think I reached a point where my damage will return insane amounts of mana back on every hit with Warlord's up. All guardians vaaled 8 mods, were very easily done.

This league has been incredibly fun and it's been a incredible journey but this will most likely be my final setup of gear, going to finish last parts of endgame challenge and then I'm done with league. And maybe do some further testing. I would still love to be able to fit in Vaal Haste, but that would require a well rolled Unset Ring.

Following stats in H/O. 10.3k ES, 169+ Ele weakness capped on all resistances, 95k EK dps with golem/auras. 175k with flasks, 400k with everything. 75 block / 27 spellblock with Rumi's.
I'm not sure yet if Chayula is the way to go, but 1300 ES at this point feels alot. Also been MFing Vaults lately with Biscos so 9k ES is completely doable for spamming vaaled Vaults with lot of hard mods.

This is a very good item to get at 47.

no idea how u guys farm uber lab and do bosses with this build, I found it fun for general mapping, especially in lower levels haha [although a bit too limited in what maps it can do]. this is the build that made me realize I should farm -6 lvls, for efficiency.. : D

uber lab was completely impossible, and bosses in general.. sketchy at best. I either kill the boss in 5-10 seconds or I have to go to town to refill. uber izaro needs a few minutes probably. yea. good luck with that.. with pretty much no leech and no flasks. the damage is definitely not enough for melee boss fights.

anyway, despite innumerable wtf-deaths.. the build was fun to try : ]

Has anyone tried out this build for the Shaper guardians that are immune to poison? I was thinking maybe of switching in Slower Projectiles for bosses for the added damage on those, maybe instead of pierce. Also can someone explain how Ice Bite and Innervate work exactly, It doesn't seem like I am gaining frenzy charges and onslaught from killing things with EK, does the kill have to come from the blade vortex specifically?

So far I have run the Minotaur and the Phoenix 3 times without dying, and only needing to portal back to town once for each, trying the other 2 soon. For any mana issues while leveling you have like 4 different options that all help:

1. Eleron Rings
2. Get some boots with the low level lab enchant for Life and Mana Leech if you have killed recently.
3. Run warlords mark + blasphemy <<<<< Biggest one gives life and mana
4. An actual mana potion

Some other notes for leveling:

1. Actually upgrade your gear occasionally. Get gear with good life and es that you can use, helps a lot. You need the life because it will help prevent getting stunned.
2. Make sure you are resistance capped, especially in Merciless.
3. Brinerot Whalers and the Gull around lvl 40 are great sources of more damage and ES.
4. Karuri Ward Amulet is really good for leveling, helps clear and Movement Speed.
5. Upgrade to a wand and shield setup around lvl 50, and use a 5 link chest. The Heartbreaker dagger also works fine until you reach higher levels.

For everyone commenting about leveling, I honestly don't understand where it comes from. If you follow the reverberation rod setup with 2 aura's reserved (blasphemy+warlords and anything else), and actually upgrade your gear, leveling is a breeze. I was able to level this character to Merci Dried lakes in around 7 hr 30 min using random 1 chaos stuff I bought from poe.trade, without dying at all. Also ran Normal lab at lvl 35.

I agree with Chaotic so much, i have no idea how you guys had trouble leveling with this build, it's been one of my fastest since Nemesis League !
Elreon rings to sustain mana, Blasph Warlords and you're good to go.
I didnt farm Uber lab, mostly cause i don't like labing, but when i did it for the ascendancy points, the izaro phases were all done under 20 seconds (And i was doing it poorly as i'm not familiar with it).

Btw, you should read the 3-4 last pages and follow some advice/info provided by Larsah.

so basically ek nova has no damage at all on low lvl. with added cold and fire support and increased crit and stuff.. it's killing my mana and has zero damage. thanks!

dunno if this is an indication for later, that ek is a really bad skill.. I guess not, but I'm getting really annoyed at how slow this character is leveling

Yah I've played so many builds this league, I completely overlooked switching to Blasphemy+WM as soon as it was available; and this would have changed everything. Hey! I leveled with no Warlord's Mark! That's gotta count for something! LOL -- Gotta start paying more attention to the fine print. I thought it was strange after I skimmed it "no health or mana leech... hmmm..." Guess I skimmed too much. Thanks to everyone for your constructive feedback though; I appreciate it. My build is L63 now and doing great. It's a lot of fun now. Switching to CI at 68.

i decided to post in here blas warlords is used for every toon ive ever made as soon as i could use it didnt go ci as i got sick of ci toons insted i decided to blow all my currency apox 30 exalts on low life i got lucky and chanced skyforth in merc lake on my ea toon just before this one so i was racking my mind as to what to build with them i decided this i went low life as soon as i could put shavs on and had around 4k es at that stage i over leveled in crule lake untill shavs then i went ham and finished all of merc in about 30 mins its so fast i dont agree with using a wand/dagger untill late late game im still using bright beak for mapping bossing is so easy with this guy went to shaped strands at 68 currently level 92 would of been 93-94 but i decided to smash out some challenges 8.9k es with shavs on and pritty average gears in the es department my sheild is a pos but has nice spell crit unbuffed dps and crit in ho 26.88% crit 70,048 tool tip dps buffed crit goes to 45% with charges (75% with diamond up) and dps with bright beak 300k with void battery goes to around 400k currently sitting on 2.2 million dps on path of building with my bossing setup on(all 21/20 gems) still need sins rebirth i didnt follow this guide or any i just looked at many and seen what i could come up with did twinned colosseum this morning with onslaught for the challenge and it was a joke so easy all in all this is a brilliant map farmer and great for higher tier mapping dpending on how much you want to invest and spend on it is what limits your dps and survivabillity i cannot link my gear from my char i have no idea how but go check out my tree and gears through my account or message me in game if you need any info/help
