Really excited to try out the Martyr of Innocence as a non-crit Inquisitor. I've always wanted to play around the Instruments of Virtue node and Crown of Eyes, but could never quite find something that fit right. Since Earthquake is so good, I can drop one of six links for chance to ignite, and run flame surge in another six link. Because of the stats on Martyr, I think the build will be pretty good with Warlord's mark providing leech. Not great, it will still be life based after all. But I think I finally found my league starter since both EQ and FS can run on 5 links just fine. That and the fact that MoI will drop at level 52 - so supply should be high enough that it will be reasonably affordable.

All I can glean from these uniques is that they were sort-of designed to be combo'd with other uniques.
Question is : will GGG ever make a proper "set unique" with set bonuses? (similar to how Malachai's Vision requiring all Corrupted items and Voll's Vision requiring all non Corrupt items) Hope not, but I think there is a possibility now. "Dead DPS is 0 DPS"

The maul is vendor trash. Low damage for a 2 handed weapon, bad attak speed. The staff might have some interesting aspects but I think it has a too mised identity - spells or attacks? Thee boots would be nice as a leveling item if it wasnt level 62...And even so i think that si the best of the three on face value - the staff may be comboable with something I miss now but it doesnt look like a strong item. Sorry but unimpressive.

" this mace instantly becomes bis stun weapon. we dont even know the roll range, but look like it could be quite large from the description. on a stun weapon you want big high end to cause stuns, its inflicting stuns that is the problem, rather than duration. its high end is as high as a marohi or even higher (which previously was bis stun weapon) without the attack speed penalty. it has built in lvl 20 ecsom, so its effectively a 7L with built in 20% stun reduction as well as endurance charge generator, which then grants a decent phys damage increase (with 6 charges you get like 60% increased phys). also good chunk of int to boot. now, I dont think it'll be more powerful than a berserker facebreaker stun or even close to it, but its a bis mace for stun builds, easily. | |

" The attack speed penalty actually favors big hits more, especially with EQ, but I will not deny this mace which has more potential for stun builds than Marohi. It has a good synergy with Juggernaut, but since I already have a 6L Marohi, it is not easy to replace it unless I somehow get my hands on as a 6L with good rolls.
