" your right, crossbows and handcross bows are fire slower then bows, so crossbows pack a punch that can pierce armour, where as bows fire faster but dont have the punch to peirce heavy aruor Life sucks; but damn i'm havin a ball doin it.

Friends here a little exaggerated..
I'm Jewish and live in Israeli. And lost precious people in the Holocaust.. Actually my grandparents were Holocaust survivors. I have no problem with red and black. I have no problem with Germans. I only have a problem with killing Jews and people in general... Enough to look Dramas at everything. Let's F* play... :D |

" No, I did not react like that with 'Indi, Hellboy. (Not sure where there is "Nazi stuff" in StarWars.) I also did not react like that when watching "Iron Sky". Or when seeing Wolfenstein. Or when watching "Killing Smoochie". The point is: In a movie about Nazis, be it a serious or a satirical one, Nazi symbolism is plausible and it belongs there. But it does not -in my opinion- belong to Wraeclast, it does not fit and breaks immersion. It feels like a cheap way to declare the "bad guys" as such. It disappoints me, because GGG managed to make us identify the baddies before without resorting to such methods. And I am fond of the dark, gritty, unpleasant world of Wraeclast and don't want to see it hurt by implausible clichés . |

" It doesn't. As far as i see from the comments, the reactions of people are not about hurt feelings. Every country has some neo nazi group-party so people are used to seeing these things. You would see the same reactions if they introduced characters in white hoods holding torches, soldiers crucifying preachers and so on. These are sensitive matters that imo a game should not mess with out of the blue one day. And you would see the same replies from people saying "stop whinning, get over it" It is absolutely a different thing from a movie with nazis. It's like your favourite science fiction medieval fantasy nothing to do with nazis series, suddenly throws some nazis in the plot. People are just "wtf, how is this relevant to the game" If the purpose is to draw attention under the "no publicity is bad publicity" concept i am greatly against it. I am not a jew,or black or religious but messing with people that are any of them just for publicity is immoral. It's like the students that paraded as nazis in china or japan,i don't remember, for attention. Just no. |

Looks good, keep up the good work. Oriath is supposed to be this super fanatic place where everyone who does or thinks anything against Dominus or their gods gets exiled or killed. its fitting that they look little like nazis.

" but how should this offend anyone? its not a justification or glorification, no sign of a shared mind or whatever. those kids in asia used it without any note about there view on nazism but those pictures here show "slave driver" and picture evil creeps we have to crush. edit: and again, it is a concept art. im pretty sure those come not exactly like this into the game. look what a long way of concepts they shown to us for malachai: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1424748 "don't worry GGG, it's ok!" " Well as you see from the reactions people are mostly negative about it,each for his own reasons. You not seeing how something like this might offend some people is not a proof that it can't offend some. Pictures show mobs dressed like nazis and i find it cheap as concept. I just don't like the devs thinking behind it. I wouldn't say i am offended, but one doesn't have to be offended to oppose to something. If you were a jew or someone who's family was hurt by nazis and your favourite game threw nazis in it without reason, you would inevitably do more thinking about it. Sure i'll play the game and sure i'll crash those mobs too. That has nothing to do with the way i see it as an addition to the lore. |

By the way, it's not a "concept art" - title says "Pages from the Upcoming Path of Exile Art Book".
" It doesn't "hurt" somebody's "feelings". I want to emphasize that, because assuming this would be the same as admit this piece as "work of art" or as any other meaningful object and give it more than it's deserves. That's just lazy and lame attempt to be "edgy" by using very controversial real-world analogy. To people who use "buh they areh aur enemiz" argument - when you really think about it it's even more of an insult to the memory of fallen on that war. That war wasn't about "clearing meta builds" of superheroes who slay thousands of nazi-zombies by earthquakes/flameblasts/sparks and other magic bullshit. It wasn't about "shaping strands" to get more XP to get to Berlin faster. Know your place and show some respect. So this piece is completely uncalled for. This isn't a game about hardships of real war - it's a game about slaying mobs and finding/trading loot. Don't stuff nazi's theme here. On the other hand - if you add to this constant power creep, upcoming xbone release and all-around casualisation it would be safe to assume that GGG just changing their target audience. More casual players - less work in lore and balance departments. You can outsource some design work to a clueless people without any consequences. It's just a little strange thing to realize that people who seems to be reasonable grown-up adults are stuffing "cool swastikas" in their work like 13 y.o. teenagers.
