Those numbers are only during Vaal Discipline, though.

pretty sure that 88k screenshot has an 8 photoshopped in, or a bunch of gameplay bs that you're unlikely to ever seen outside of a created environment (specific guardian + headhunter stacking or some bs)

Max atm seems to be between 20-30k from all the actual gameplay examples i've seen (real characters actually doing stuff :p), probably get slightly above 30k with perfect gear + some vaal disc I imagine

but in this clearspeed meta,Vaal auras are pretty much permanent auras

I am a regular player and I have an almost all ES build. My gear is good. not perfect, but pretty high end. I have 17171 ES without vaal discipline. I came here hoping to find a way to push it up more but the linked tree isn't as good as what I have.

Anyways I didn't find anything here that helped, so I am going to say that 17-20K is about where the high end of non-super hardcore POE players caps out.

I'd love to be wrong though. If I could get another 2K ES without paying 200ex, which I will never have, then that'd be great.


As to life, I've seen builds with 15-17K life. That of course had things like legacy kaoms.


Also as to perma-vaal disc....I think it would be extremely difficult to both go for max ES, leaving all damage nodes alone, and having the clear speed to have that running forever.

Life builds have the advantage of str adding to both life and damage so high str builds can still get a pretty big damage bonus along with big life. Plus high life can also have, you know, armour. I've played an almost all out life char as well and armour can make a big difference. My life build is older and only had around 9K life but it could tank bleed and other physical damage much better than my 17K ES build. My ES one can handle more spell damage though.

Could also mention health potions which are pretty huge. They don't work very well with ES. Life is, IMO, significantly better than ES per point. It takes less damage, especially from physical, and has potions to give it reliable sustained tank. ES just doesn't have that.


Oh also as to the 88K ES screenshot....elreon has a mission where he adds a lot of ES to players. Need to factor that in as well.

Why don't you post your tree then? Show us your superior tree instead of talking about how good it is.

It's not like it's amazing or anything. But for example the 5% nodes were missed by the templar start in favour of ones which add less. The written in blood area was missed and wouldn't require any additional points to get there. There are some other things as well but that's not really my point.

I mostly want to say that 88K ES isn't something you can get under the vast majority of combat situations, and any regular person isn't likely going to get more than 17-20K ES as a base.

I have a build on pathofbuilding with 46888 es (with vaal dis) and 35093 without

I dont add any of the bullshit people are talking about in here (mission buff/hh or whatever)

Also i think that pic is fake or using some weird shit to get 88k
