[2.6] LL Ele Wander Raider ~ Insane clear speed/Shaper/Guardians - 225k Barrage tooltip
" I only say this because I'm not really clearing mobs that fast and my barrage damage seems pretty weak... Doing strands, it takes me about 10 seconds to kill the bosses, which seems long to me. From what I've seen, I should be able to basically insta-kill them. Especially with Point Blank, I thought if I stand really close to them, they should just melt. Instead sometimes I find myself dying. Is it because my leech is too low? That with all the survivability issues (I die sometimes in shaped strand maps especially with beyond chars and exploding corpses). I'm thinking if I should try to fit in CwDT + Immortal Call in somewhere to help me from getting killed so often. (Potentially remove CoH + Assassin's Mark?) I may have to look for some rare gloves to help me survive as well. What else could contribute to my low DPS? I think I get around 20Kish in hideout with KB. I also have to level my gem and put quality on them, but can that really explain such a loss in DPS? I know my wand is terribly weak but I don't have enough currency to gamble on crafting a wand either. Can someone look at my char and see what I'm doing wrong? (btw, ignore the ventor's gamble, I usually use a 33% WED ring with resists) |

Spoiler
Yeah, I agree with nephalim. Don't worry about tooltip for KB its only for clearing trash mobs. I even switched to rare gloves instead of using thunderfist because I found survivability over DPS better unless you really want a glass cannon for tooltip show. I lost about 8k DPS on tooltip for KB but my ES went from 6.5k to 7.1k and I still one shot mobs even in t16 maps
Im sitting at 72k barrage in ho and 52k KB without thunderfist (68k with thunderfist). I suggest getting additional charges last and get the more important nodes first especially since youre still at your 80s. Its hard for me to explain since english is not my native language but you can check my gears and passive tree for guideline. Im not saying my tree is the best but I spent a lot of regrets tweaking and testing and imo found the tree im using now to be the most optimal in terms of damage and survivability while using the least points. But you can always upgrade or tweak to your liking note: Im a pathfinder so we may have slight difference in tree Last edited by paulmaxycabigon#0641 on Jun 2, 2017, 2:30:35 PM

" Thank you Paul, and your English is fine! I wouldn't have been able to tell that you are not a native speaker. Thank you so much! I will work with my skill tree. I'll take away my power charge and move them for more DPS as you did with your tree. In addition, I haven't completed my uber trials so I don't have my last ascendency right now. I tried once and died with one hit from the 1st trial boss. After I get the rare gloves, I hope I can survive better. Is my wand decent enough to do strands efficiently? Or will I have to upgrade to get enough DPS to one shot? |

"Thanks! yep you're wand is pretty good for now just try upgrading your other gears first then wand last since min maxing the wand can get quite expensive. Things you should upgrade by priority: 1. Use a wise oak flask instead of atziri's promise. This is because wise oak gives 35% to all ele res allowing you to have less res on gear and it also penetrates 20% res of your highest uncapped res so try to get your lightning res to be the highest. 2. gloves with atleast 150 ES. Try to get high accu roll, attack speed (bonus) and as much res as you can. This way you can free up accu roll and res on your rings and just focus on DPS. 3. Rings - get as much DPS (Flat light, WED, accu) and other stats/ res you need 4. Jewels - whatever stats you need Note: our main sources of DPS are rings, jewels, and wand so try to get all your res and other stat requirements on your other gears so you can focus solely on DPS on these. Good luck! :) |

I have major surivabilty issues as well as DPS with this build.
This really isn't the faceroll build I was hoping it to be (maybe I don't have enough currency to get the GG gear which is required) I find that my HoWa Raider is much better at suriving and even DPS with about half the amount of currency invested. I feel like I'm doing everything right, but I keep dying in shaped strands. I stopped playing this character out of frustration. |
|
" I had this same problem but I have swap to Pathfinder and rebuild my passive tree like paulmaxycabigon did (few posts ealier). I feel like after those changes my DPS and survivability is much higher. And the playstyle is better. I think the Raider build from this guide is only good (or even perfect) for lvl 100 characters and with all maxed gear. |

" Ah thanks for the response~ I will probably respec to pathfinder and follow the tree you guys took. Which ascendencies did you take for Pathfinder? I'm guessing Nature's Boon > Master Alchemist > Nature's Adrenaline > Master Surgeon? This is going to be a COSTLY respec... haha |
|
" Veteran Bowyer instead of Master Surgeon. And yes - its costly (~50 regrets or so) but worth it - I reach so high lvl of frustration before I have respect that I was thing of stop splaying this character. But after those changes this char is alive again and lot of fun to play :) |
