Casual times on consoles are over, there are as much nolifers playing mmorpg on console as on pc.

On console there are mainly casual players, exceptions are not the rule.
- Have you play Thief 1 and 2 ? Do you remember how shit was thief 3 came out both on xbox and pc ? And how is thief 4 ?
- Have you play the first deus ex ? What about Human Revolution ?
- Diablo 3 was planed from the beginning for PC and console. You saw the result, right ?
- There are a lot of other exemples

But there are always people to be blind and refuse to admit the evidence. The console players are like consumers for developers. Not gamers.

I just can't imagine anyone with a controller trying to 6 link something or craft or using skills which need a bit of precision. How are they supposed to trade? Have a laptop nearby to browse poe.trade? No wonder the game is getting easier from patch to patch if you need to optimize for the average console joe. Meanwhile we still have issues with trading, instances where you can't connect anymore, lag and fps spikes etc etc. I wished they would adress the issues the current playerbase had for so long instead of doing a console port.

The controller will bring another dimension of pain to crafting.

I cant imagine doing the Lab or trading. A console port where you need your laptop to browse poe.trade and the wiki? lol

Only good things will come from xbox release . More money , more players for ggg = expanding team, faster development time , more intresting tech in the future

Let me tell how it will really happen :

GGG want more money. So GGG need more players. So they decided to make an XBOX version.
Players of XBOX = mainly casual players. Casual players cannot understand the complexity of PoE.
So PoE has to become more simple. If not, Xbox Players will cry and not buy PoE. And GGG will not get more money.

Is it hard to understand ?

(...) The Xbox One version is also free-to-play (...)

Is it hard to understand ?

But my 2 cents : GGG need more money or XBOX ONE more player ?

How do you really think this is an issue? People already play on controllers, and do well. I poe.trade on my tablet while I play. Stop grasping.

THIS
Btw, POE team, do you have a plan to give PC players opportunity to use XO controller ??
It will be amazing, if we can play with XO controller in PC version for grinding ... For trading and crafting i'll prefer mouse :)

Thank you!
2 things.

1. The UI looks horrible, and oversized and irritating. I hope it evolves to something less cluttered or things can be disabled and hidden within the options. I dont need to see the UI map on the screen at all times, playing the game, I will just remember the buttons layout naturally, so thats wasted space.

2. When D3 went to consoles it got hacked to all hell, people with 10,000 paragon levels, and trillions of HP and so, cause the console files were so damn easy to hack, so that made public parties 100% worthless if you intended to actually earn your way through the game. I hope that doesnt happen here.

OMFG How they will make money if not enough players on XBOX because too difficult to
understand the mechanics ?
