" The controller will bring another dimension of pain to crafting. I cant imagine doing the Lab or trading. A console port where you need your laptop to browse poe.trade and the wiki? lol When night falls
She cloaks the world In impenetrable darkness |

" (...) The Xbox One version is also free-to-play (...) Is it hard to understand ? But my 2 cents : GGG need more money or XBOX ONE more player ? Last edited by ChocoMacs2#7221 on Jan 19, 2017, 11:33:13 AM

" How do you really think this is an issue? People already play on controllers, and do well. I poe.trade on my tablet while I play. Stop grasping. |

Btw, POE team, do you have a plan to give PC players opportunity to use XO controller ??
It will be amazing, if we can play with XO controller in PC version for grinding ... For trading and crafting i'll prefer mouse :) Thank you! |

2 things.
1. The UI looks horrible, and oversized and irritating. I hope it evolves to something less cluttered or things can be disabled and hidden within the options. I dont need to see the UI map on the screen at all times, playing the game, I will just remember the buttons layout naturally, so thats wasted space. 2. When D3 went to consoles it got hacked to all hell, people with 10,000 paragon levels, and trillions of HP and so, cause the console files were so damn easy to hack, so that made public parties 100% worthless if you intended to actually earn your way through the game. I hope that doesnt happen here. |

" OMFG How they will make money if not enough players on XBOX because too difficult to understand the mechanics ? |

Firstly...like alot of other points...wait what! This was definitely a surprise.
Secondly, it seems that there are quite a lot of statements saying GGG need more money or XBOX one desperate for players. Technically both statements are true. GGG is a private company, it needs profits to continue running, to continue grinding their corporate gears. Therefore they will invest in new ways to attract more people. The PC market will continue to grow as new content and improvements made to the game are released. However to generate a new income, GGG have to branch out and diversify their audience; console gamers are just that. With the added income, more content, more development, more updates, more improvements, more support will be generated. This is only a good thing. There are some possible consequences, if the console release goes sour then that is investment and time lost which could have been spent developing the game. However knowing GGG's history and the dedication to this game, I am willing to bet any issue will be resolves quickly post launch to give a great game to a new audience. Overall, whilst we may moan about the dedication of resources for a platform we wont use (talking to PC users here) the potential rewards may very well outstrip that by providing better capacity for development to the PC branch. Give GGG their chance and support them, it will benefit us all on the long run. My only advice is to TEST TEST TEST TEST TEST TEST the game on console for as long as you can. The more bugs eliminated and more optimisations carried out, the better the release will be. Full support for GGG's branch to consoles even though i dislike the xbox. |
