Path of Exile is Coming to Xbox One!

This HAS to be an April Fool's joke.

Thing is, everyone expects April Fool's jokes on April 1st, and then its not funny or surprising. By putting out an April Fool's joke on Jan18, it is like the Spanish Inquisition.

What troubles me is that XBOX One has a pre-planned obsolescence. XBOX360 released 4 years after XBox, and the XBOXone released 6 years afteron the X360. If we assume that the next version releases 8 years after XBOXone, then that puts the XBOXone RIP date 3-4 years from now.

I am concerned that content and progress on development for this game is now going to be limited to the lowest common denominator platform. The XBOXone is not getting any better than it already is. There will not likely be any more "incremental improvements to art and sound."

I am neither a software engineer nor a game developer, so i don't know how many shared resources are involved in writing code for XBOX (MS company) and Windows (MS company.) If it is possible that efforts are easily duplicated this may not be too horrible.

This is probably some silly joke to take the world's mind off of an impending coronation ***err*** inauguration.

Honestly, what's the problem people? If you enjoy this on PC, continue playing on PC. This SHOULDN'T slow down PC progression, and anyone who has an Xbone now has two options to play.

Both Blizzard and Bethesda converted their PC franchise to Console. The result is the PC version got their keyboard control killed off by being forced to not do what console controllers can't do.

Are you telling me GGG would not follow Blizzard and Bethesda?

We say this WILL cause PC to be affected because we SAW it happen. Diablo 3 lost its ability to use more than 4 skills, and Skyrim interface is so bad on PC that there was a mandatory mod to fix the damn thing.

You are suggesting that GGG could be the first developer to not do what every other game developer did. Don't hold your breath.

I never really regretted the obscene amount of money I've spent purchasing supporter packs and mtx and stash tabs, but now I kind of do...
