[2.6] - The Stampede! (Abberath's Fury build) Insane Clear Speed - 1 shot guardians!
" You could do it with a vaal regalia and CI, but it will be much weaker. you could also sacrifice some ES and run a Solaris Lorica. Biggest issue is the nerf to AOE hit abberaths hooves likely the worse of any item/skill. Playing it is very clunky now and as mentioned above, since 2.6 dying sun is *almost* required. And if a shavs is out of your price range, we can just forget about a dying sun. With that said, it's still a very cool and fun build. So don't let me or anyone else deter you from trying it out. Just take away from this that it will not perform even close to the videos that were posted, and for the cost of the items needed you could build something that cleared much more efficient. Can someone please post link to updated skill tree? I tried to open the link (for lvl 94) from the 1st post, and all skill points are broken (no links to them just spreaded all around).
I also tried to load it in PoeSkillTree planner and it reports "some nodes are unknown and have been omitted" :( EDIT: Also, can someone suggest me which build to use to level a witch and keep playing that build, until I'm able to buy required gear for this build? I was suggested to use Pizza sticks Flameblast totem and to level it as elementalist, but all I could find is Pizza sticks (Flameblast totem) for templar (Inquisitor/Hierophant). I have no idea how to 'develop' a witch that can be useful (to farm) until I get enough currency to buy requried gear for this build and respec. From the guide I found it starts as a templar and only later goes to witch direction... aside from the fact that it doesn't 'touch' witch starting points (and that this guide has a passive skill tree link broken). :( Can someone suggest some 'easy to level, cheap' witch build' for leveling a toon to prepare it for this build (the stampede)? Thx! Last edited by drunkydragon#5464 on Mar 15, 2017, 4:47:00 AM

I would like to share with you guys my twist on the beloved farm char that SimpleSim put together for us last season.
I farmed as assassin Oro Flicker Strike until I could afford the boots, as dirt cheap of a farm char as it gets in my eyes. Check out "TarTarNotACockroach" on my profile. Once I had the boots, I rolled elementalist and tried to stick to what I remember from the tree and what makes sense. In the process I even side-stepped and tried herald bomber assassin, but it was not at all to my liking, yet very strong. Lacking Shavronnes and Presence of Chayula, I am running with Solaris Lorica and Eye of Chayula, their little siblings. To make up for the loss of area on the boot proc, I decided to go for a pure burn variant, using: Elemental Focus, Rapid Decay, Increased Burning Damage and Concentrated Effect. The latter one can be exchanged for Increased Area of Effect, makes farming lower maps more fluid. Reason for Conc Effect and the pure burn variant is that Beacon of Ruin still has its radius of 12 and I wanted to capitalize on that. So I am trying to proliferate massive burns to packs hence the Conc Effect for even stronger initial damage. This is a blast to play to say the least, of course the build was stronger last season but farming for shavs and presence is totally doable in my eyes and the feeling of one-shotting Courtyard boss group with a Solaris Lorica is very, very satisfying. Here are my items: Feel free to criticise, ask questions and post suggestions, I am all up for it. :) " As I mentioned above, Assassin Oro Flicker Strike is a very fast and cheap farm char, I really recommend it if you are seizure-proof. Else going for the Pizzablaster is also fine. Cheers. |

" You say Elemental Focus but your items say Controlled Destruction which means you noticed what I was going to point out...you can't burn with ele focus :P Happy to see some people trying to make this build work. I'll definitely try to revisit it in 3.0 Crit Shockwave Totem 650k +: #1657327 / Crit VMS (1 mil DPS): #1511368 / Crit self-cast spark: #1565708
1.3 crit firestorm: #1280086 / 1.3 crit Ice Nova: #1219809 / Flame Nova (sire of shards incinerate): #1359847 |

I made a crit-life version of this build because the stuff ES is really expensive on the Legacy league.
If you can't play shavronne, it's really hard to cast all required aura and blasphemy, then i choose the templar for free pene and crit for the same reason. I hope that the crit multi can compensate the more obtain by Pain Attenument + Elemental overloard + Controlled destruction. Item :
Spoiler
Tree : Jewel : Hotfooted // rare with life and crit + crit multi for fire skill I've 5.5k life and i farm T11 Shaper Strand really easily for instance. Please feel free to comment my version and don't hesitate to let some questions. Last edited by aallassault#7621 on Mar 17, 2017, 5:47:56 AM

HI, looking to do this build in 2.6 any changes given the updates? also it seems that your skill tree is broken on the front page

" You dont need Rapid Decay one bit, rares are one shot with Vaal RF, rest dies while you run through them at any map tier. Doryani is worse than rare crystal belt because you want flask charges affixes on your belt and crystal belt is blessed + divined to 80 es + 90 life easily. If you are going for 200es Hubris you should just buy a base with Flammability and craft it to that. You can also get Gull, its 12-15c atm. You are taking too many little ES nodes over jewel nodes, triple affix jewels are 10-30c right now. Green Dream is kinda overrated imo, i can keep up phase run permanently without it, dont see a reason to sacrifice a jewel node to it, yes frenzy charges also give you more damage but you are consuming them constantly. Also Influence node near CI > 3 little CI 6% nodes because it buffs discipline and anger by 20%. You sacrificed too much damage for negligible amount of es tbh, i havent felt like i am gonna die with this build while vinktar is up. Last edited by IMBrewmaster#0051 on Mar 18, 2017, 6:01:29 PM

" Thanks for your feedback, I will try to explain why I chose what I chose in a little detail. Rapid Decay increases my burn damage, up to map tier 12, haven't gotten further yet, I do not have to use VRF for rares, only for the bosses. If I miss the boss with VRF, I can still circle him or her for a few seconds and my burn kills them anyways. As I pointed out: This relies on strong burns. Doryani is a blessing for this variant as we get 10% ignite chance for the time that conflux is not guaranteeing burns. (8 out of 14 seconds), the fire damage increases the initial hit and the burning damage, as our source of damage is purely fire (boot proc and VRF) this belt makes a lot of sense. A rare crystal belt would be an upgrade in terms of energy shield and if well-rolled also in terms of resistances. not entirely sure why I would want life on it, 90 life is 18 energy shield via Presence of Chayula, does not feel like it is worth it to me. Flask charges is a very good point, really helps with keeping Vinktars up. The 290 ES from Mind Gaze were quite the blast to have with the Solaris version, I by now have gotten Presence and Shavs, so I am going to replace that with a Hubris, yes. Thanks for pointing out The Gull, gonna do some test-running with it as I did not have it on my radar so to speak. Is increased Flammability effect my only choice? I am uneducated on the topic of helmet enchantments. I agree that Green Dream is too expensive for what it does. But overrated? Not sure about that. 20% chance to get a frenzy charge.. I cast my Phase Run every 8 seconds, which gives me more time than you have with recasting it every 3 seconds. If you actually keep it up permanently, as you said. In addition to that I get frenzy charges for 12% more damage. Don't we all love the word more? Agreed on the priceyness, disagree on the usefulness. The ES / Jewel thing is a good thing to point out, didn't ever calculate ES nodes over aura effect, thanks for that. With Shavs and Presence I am going to polish the whole build, probably going to fit in an Andvarius as well, so I want some resistances on my helmet. Or on some jewels and use The Gull, not entirely sure yet. When comparing your build version with mine, keep in mind that my Vinktar leech is based off of Herald of Thunder and Vinktar adding Lightning Damage to spells, no Added Lightning Damage jewel in my boots. So what amount of ES / leech works for your might not suffice for this variant. I have less issues with reflect though, as most of the damage is burning damage and my initial hits are high but not self-oneshoting high. And I did not even spec reduced reflect yet. Again thanks for your feedback, going to use some of it now. :) |
