[2.6] CRIT HoWA BF/ST Raider [13k ES, 60k BF/265k GMP ST DPS, Stun-immune] [4 sec Chayula kill]
" Maybe - but why not save up for a 6-link? The DPS gain going from 5 to 6 links is huge. Last edited by hankinsohl#1231 on Apr 24, 2017, 12:57:09 PM

" Yeah i will in future, but i only got 250c budget atm and need them for HoWa and other stuff. |

" Thanks, got it now and doing much better :) " Which gems are most useful to get quality on? I may not be able to get all quality gems for a while, and I'm not sure which ones will give most bang for the buck. |

How would a PcoC compare to a inc crit strike gem in the 6 link? I always wondered, when is one better than the other? assuming you cant get power charges from other sources.

Nevermind found it.

Hey Guys,
Hey Invalesco, first of all thank you for the effort writing this guide, which i am following since legacy league start and loved it so far. Yesterday i switched from ST to BF, spent the whole day to get my stuff sorted and spent about 5 EX on poe.trade for gear. Now I am sitting im my hideout with a tooltip-DPS of 10.958 (wrath running, golem jumping around me), 9.107 ES (discipline running) and resistances slightly above cap (78%, 86%, 81%). Not real comfortable. I would highly appreciate help from you experienced guys, what I can change, what I did wrong and for what senseless stuff i spent all my currency... Thank you in advance! Here is my gear and my profile should be public: |

" Note that the exact numbers can change depending on your gem levels etc but I'll work on the assumption that you have a 21/20 Increased Crit Strikes and 20/23 Power Charge on Crit. With HoWA your base crit chance is 6% from the weapon. With ICS you add 2%, and gain 110% of that. So if you had no other source of crit chance, then you end up with 16.8% crit chance. With PCoC you gain 23% from the gem, and if you have a max of 3 power charges you'd gain 150% from the charges. So again with no other crit chance you end up with 16.4%. If you have a max of 4 or 5 power charges, in this scenario where you have no other source of crit chance you'd be better off using PCoC. However, in practice you're going to have other sources of crit chance. For instance if you were to just take Twin Terrors, Assassination, and Trickery, that gives roughly 200% increased crit chance; In this case ICS would get you to 32.8% crit chance whereas PCoC gets you to 28.4, 31.4, and 34.4% respectively with 3, 4 or 5 power charges. The more other crit chance you have, the less effective PCoC is relative to ICS. That's not even mentioning the extra skill points you'd need to use to get those extra power charges that could be better spent elsewhere. In short for this build you almost never want to use PCoC on your main 6L, as the power charges don't do enough to be worth it. |

can i use astramentis for this build??

" Hey! I would recommend swapping incr. crit damage for elemental focus for more DPS. I would also recommend getting an Atziri's Flask for more DPS/leech. The best upgrade for you at this point (imo) would be a better ES chest, which would enable you to break 10k and be less squishy. Your next few levels will see you grab soul raker as well which will be a significant DPS boost. " You can. Its a decent placeholder, but it will not be the BIS for a crit build. " I would recommend using the vendor recipe (level 20 gem plus a gemcutter --> level 1/20q gem) which should enable you to get 20q on your gems without spending a fortune. If I were to prioritize I'd first 20q Spectral Throw and GMP. Next, assuming that you're using it (it's not standard to use this), Herald of Thunder. Then I'd quality Increased Critical Strikes. Finally all the other DPS gems. ============ For reference, my damage currently scales as follows (your damage will scale somewhat differently since diminishing returns make stats less valuable per unit of increase as the stat total increases): 1% attack speed = 226 DPS 1 crit multi = 121 DPS 1% inc damage = 96 DPS 1 int = 69 DPS 1% crit chance = 51 DPS 1 dex = 18 DPS |
