[2.5] The Oneiromancer - Chaos Raider

Theme: Caravan Palace - Lone Digger

So, 2.5 brought us a lot of new toys, Raider being one of them, and The Green Nightmare as another...

I felt like trying out a Dreamfeather build for a while, so there we go!

*note about DPS - due to bugs, displayed DPS for "south-paw" style weapon is lower. Actual damage is ~%10.65 (varies, of course) MORE than what I list below. The math to figure that out was tiresome, don't ask me to reproduce it.

UPDATES:

Something like this, FAST + Chaos Damage + Phys, beats Dreamfeather by a mile.
I'd also say that if you're using Dreamfeather, might well try a Slayer/Ascendant build, with more or less the same tree. Those 2 would have both more DPS and other things to add. And of course, Berserker is an option with VP added on.
Current Life is around 6580, dps is ~30% MORE not including the Poison which is buffed even more.

Level 92 Stats:
Life = 6409 (+92 ES)
Life Regen = 451
Evasion (9 Frenzy) = 24413 / 30318 (with Flasks)
Dodge = 65/65 while Phasing, 74/65 while on Max Stacks, 75/75 with Quartz Flask.
Avg Damage (Inc AoE) = 2086 / 2580 (with Flasks)
Avg Damage (Conc Effect) = 3305 / 3686 (with Flasks)
Attacks/sec (not including the release) = 10.64 (not what the tooltip shows, don't worry)

Bear in mind this doesn't include: Poison / Wither... Actual DPS is quite good.
Flasked DPS with Inc AoE if you don't discharge = ~100k + 500k Poison (if they live long enough, and your real DPS is about 50% more since you DO discharge).
Flasked DPS with Conc Effect + Wither is closer to 3-4 Mil.

DPS TOOLTIP is more with a Jade Flask, and you get more Evasion.

Can also do Vaal Pact once you get at least The Green Dream, like I tried. That's less life on the tree available, but more Damage overall. Not sure which version is better overall, depends on what content.
In the end I went with NO Vaal Pact, it just feels better without it, and I die a LOT less WITHOUT Vaal Pact. As in never :).

Gearing and Links:
Until you get a Vinktar, a Jade Flask works perfectly fine.
Until you get a 6L, probably best to use Snakebite Gloves.
FLAT CHAOS on Gear is MUCH more important than Flat Phys, as is Accuracy.
6L = BF / Added Chaos / Void Manipulation / Inc AoE / Faster Attacks / Poison.
The rest of the links you have plenty of options, what I'm using is just one option, and I suggest using Vaal Lightning Trap instead of Vaal Haste usually (I'm just leveling Conc Effect atm).
Jewels need Attack Speed / Area Damage / Chaos Damage / Melee Damage + Life. Possibly some INT, depending on gear.
The helm enchant I'm using is OP. Try and get one if you can.
Possible off-hand: The Dark Seer / Breath of the Council / Singularity.
Another Flask combo option is using Phys Damage gem instead of Poison/Faster Attacks, and using Lion's Roar + Sin's + Atziri's, for a large boost to DPS (more than what I get).

***Side note: You can do this exactly the same with The Scourge. Might get more DPS if you scale it with Minion Damage on gear/jewels, probably more DPS. However, those are harder to get, and a Culling Strike Dreamfeather is still BiS for most content since The Scourge is unlikely to exist with that mod and good rolls.***

One shots in 5 damage mod maps like any Life build (if they somehow hit you), and DoT if you're Vaal Pact. And yeah, really annoying to play at over 200 latency when you're THIS fast.

Yeah, I found out it doesn't work only this week. Updating!
