3.0 UPDATED] Raider Elemental Crit Spectral Throw - Shaper and t16 viable

how do i solve the mana problem here ? i use 2 spectral throw and my mana is already empty ._., im using the mana leech that is good for mobs, breach etc, but i cant handle a single target because of the mana sustain, you got any tips ?

have you ever considered Alpha's Howl? If you put Wrath + Herald of Ice + Empower + Enlighten in it and use Herald of Thunder for the curse as you are doing right now, i can imagine quite a damage boost for like no budget at all (Alpha's Howl is really cheap).
Wrath and HoI would be level 24-25 with this setup and I think you still have pretty much the same amount of mana not reserved.

I have not tried it, just came across this idea and would like to get your opinion on it. :)

So you think the 8% reduced mana reserved makes it easily possible to run HoI AND HoT without investments on the tree? If so that could be somewhat nice DPS wise. But overall I don't think it's a very good option, because your wrath (main source of damage) will be the same level as in the setup with the +1 shield (because empower is also affected by it, whereas it's not in alpha's howl). We also don't care about the Cannot be frozen/chilled mods as raiders with status ailments immunity. And you lose 100 life and resists and potentially 50 int compared to a rare helmet (which makes it a lot harder, and WAY more expensive to get good DPS jewelery), and life and attack speed and crit compared to starkonja.

Unfortunately, the APS is waaaaay too low.
I recommend to check poe.trade where you can find decent foils for cheap (<10c) if you wanna test the build and farm up to tier15.

Do you think i should upgrade this to a sword with more attack speed? Would it give me more damage or is the %WED on this good enough to make up for the kind of "low" attack speed? Also, the lightning damage could be higher. :/

Your sword is pretty good. Use Path of Building to compare. Import your character, then replace your sword with mine:



Mine has T1 attack speed, T1 flat lightning, and similar crit, but no WED, so that should be a good comparison!

An easy way to do it would be to import my character (Bumblebeest (account: niuage)), and then copy my sword data to create a new item in your build.

In case you are interested in the results:
I swapped my sword with your sword and the DPS went from 73.5k to 76.1k full-buffed (however your sword is not only better attack speed-wise). If i remove the %WED and replace the 19% attack speed with 25% attack speed, the DPS stay the same (less than 200 difference, can't remember which was better). So in my case, the 22 %WED are equal to +6% attack speed, which makes my sword quite "ok" i guess. ;)

Yea no problem! Path of Building is literally the best piece of software ever created for poe imo, and that's coming from someone who also built a bunch of apps for poe ^^.



I dropped it this morning in a Strand! It's my first one I'm so happy :D
I was just playing around with a new character, a low life RF guy, not really rolling my maps properly, barely using any leaguestones... and bam, it happened ^^.

I tried it and it's not amazing on the RF guy, because its clearspeed is meh. I'll try double beyond when I can fix my resists, but I really want to try it on this build, because I think it'd be the one who benefits from it the most. Can't wait to try it tonight \o/
