[2.5] Mustard's Raider/Blade Flurry DreamFeather Build

well the biggest push to DPS for your build would be flat chaos dmg on ring and amulet, vinktars for shock (50% double dipping more dmg) and witchfire brew flasks (vul is 30% more DoT and upwards of 70% inc DoT).

the quality and gem levels will hardly add anything. but basically without running vulnerability and shock you're missing out on a crap ton of damage.

i still haven't done shaper because i cannot get a t15 map drop to save my fking life.

Yeah, I'm 89, and my hideout tooltip is like 970. No frenzy, no flask, Grace aura and flame golem up.

I suspect it's a bunch of little things: I can increase my evasion, my jewels need upgrading, my gems aren't 20/20 yet, I didn't buy the highest damage Dreamfeathers, etc. but it's tough to know how much all of these will affect my damage.

That being said, I haven't really had much trouble damage-wise up through T9 maps.

Yeah I might try Witchfire but then I'd have to drop either Jade or the second HP flask which I need for freeze immunity. Not to mention that flasks don't last for the entire duration of shaper fight...

I'll keep monitoring this thread to see how other people fare vs shaper with this build
Loving this in breach league rn!! I've gone for as much evasion as possible, and skipped out on the endurance charges and a couple of the flask nodes for the big chaos nodes in between witch and shadow. Along with that, I've increased my flask effect duration by about 50% due to my amazing belt and passive nodes, and I am using temp chains instead of poacher's mark, which is currently absolutely melting bosses and making them much less scary at the same time. I can't seem to get my gloves to become 2R 2B though (rip 200 chrome, the calculator says it will take me 850), so for the time being my wither totem is fairly unoptimized. I'm also using a weight of sin jewel for the flat chaos dmg, and waiting to afford a 1ex chaos dmg, attack dmg, and dmg over time jewel. Once I finish getting my gems to 20 (I switched over from a bino's BF build), optimize my jewels, and complete my wither totem setup, My DPS should double, i think. Currently running t12's without any problems, I'll keep you updated!Here's my gear (I just realized I should replace my quicksilver with a jade flask, I use whirling blades for mobility anyway):

I currently have a weapon swap setup with Breath of the Council in one set for more dps, and a Thousand Teeth Temu for more evasion, health and leech, though that was just what I had lying around, another shield should do even better, what with rare shields going up to 1.5k evasion.

Also, Enduring Cry is a thing if you don't have a 6L but still care about getting endurance charges.

Edit: After gaining a bit more life and scaling more evasion, I'm using double Dreamfeathers for clearing again. Still using Breath of the Council for bosses because 80% inc chaos that double dips is better than ~120% inc attack damage that doesn't. Not that I notice it much though.

That's the thing with this build, I barely notice the poison on fights where it really matters (guardians, shaper). I'm wondering if going ST for Point Blank would be worth. There's also an extra dot cluster nearby. Something like this:

You get four more multipliers through ST (Point Blank, Slower Proj, Pierce, Void Manip) compared to the 2 BF gives you with Conc Effect and Void Manip, so that might be worth it.

On the other hand, I've worked my way up to T15 as lvl 87 and still have to get to a boss that doesn't completely melt with BF.

Also, when you're confident about your health total, getting a pair of those makes this build absolutely insane:

i've done both builds. ST version and BF version, and BF version is by far superior in DPS. like...by far.

actually while i was still spec'ed out for ST i just subbed in BF and boom already did more damage. didn't take anything more than that but just plug and play

T15 is a joke compared to what comes after. I mean sure, I can kill Minotaur in about 15-20s of flasked dps but that requires porting out to refill Vinktar. Core Malachai on the other hand requires about 2-3s of non-flasked dps for each of his hearts and his own phases between them. I don't even slot conc effect when mapping for anything but t15 because it doesn't matter.

Also, I'm not sure about Dark Ray vector. Yeah, +2 frenzy charges are good but so is 15-16% spell dodge that you can get from Atziri's step, along with 60+ life and 600 evasion. All good stats on this build, especially life that we really need. But what worries me more is the reduced charge duration - it's already annoying having that on Snakebites but -50% on top would be too much. I've already had cases during Chimera fight where my charges dropped off during add phase and my dps tanked as a result.

edit: I'm thinking of speccing into pathfinder just to test it out vs shaper. Hoping that more flask uptime would help but I don't know if it would be enough to offset the dps loss from the frankly pretty amazing frenzy ascendancy the raider gets.

You lose the spell dodge but you gain 20% attack dodge and a LOT of damage and attack speed. And the loss of evasion does get made up somewhat by the 8% inc evasion you get from the additional charges. But yeah, using Vectors in conjunction with Snakesbites sounds like a bad idea.
