I have thought about deleveling all of my red gems. Question though, does that severely gimp dps? I mean, I am not great at the math but especially on BF you have the melee physical and melee physical on full hp boosting BF.

Also, this im sure would again very much drop the affect of ancestral warchief and warlords mark.

It would be nice to drop my steel ring or my ammy for a ring or ammy that stops stuns.

There's a pretty massive difference in dps for spells but not so much with attacks. Of course this depends on how many levels you're dropping. I would estimate 5% loss in DPS but am not going to make any promises on that.

Thanks for all the help. After calculating my resistances out using a Valyrium didnt make sense. I took a look at the Eye of Chayula and decided to pick one up. With the only minor str drop I only had to delevel my red gems by 1 for them to work. With a little Jewel juggling I was able to make up for some of the lost resistances and actually come out 20dps higher tooltip than when I started. I am still res capped for regular maps but ele weakness maps I am now just under cap for fire and cold. Not too bad though, ran a tier 10 ele weakness to test and I was just as fast clearing it.

What should my BF tooltip look like? I realize it takes almost none of the dmg we are using into affect. With my buffs in my HO I am seeing 3165.2dps. With charges and flasks and whatnot its more than double that while mapping. Have spotted over 8k tooltip with various pots and charge levels.

Thinking I may keep my Kiara's for any chills or whatnot as a utility flask, but now I wont be stun locked which is beautiful. Maybe a witchfire or eventually a taste of hate for my other flasks. Already rocking the Atziri and Lion's roar.

Also, what ES lvls do we consider viable for guardians and maybe even shaper? Im at 9.2k right now down from 9.8k after changing my amulet. Debating between the Throatseeker or the Arcane focus set of nodes between now and 90.

Can't help you with this information. I've only attempted Chimera and it didn't turn out well considering I went into the fight blind. I can hit 16k tooltip with all flasks, Vaal Haste, and charges up but I'm not using a shield. Certain guardians may not be very doable with this build... or at least not with Binos. Chimera probably is the hardest one.

Now that I think about it... if your red gems were level 20 you probably should have sold them and just started over unless they were 20q. It takes like no time to hit 18-19.

EDIT: Finally got my 6L. Will buy a Voidheart and Shield when I can afford a decent one to compare.

Hi guys,

I posted earlier, made some progress on my gear and wondered if I could get a few pointers on net gear upgrades to improve. I'm fairly new to poe! I'm struggling a bit again! my tooltip dps (i understand this is'nt the be all and end all) is just under 2k! for some reason in hideout, with the auras up, so I think I need more physical dmg. My resists are just about there too, 75,75, 76.

My ES is just a bit short of 9k at the mo, I had to refund some points to get the extra curse, almost 87 at the mo, so will get the es nodes back as I get more levels.

My main problems now are that I feel REALLY squishy, so I have to go slow to clear maps. t8 rare maps are ok'ish, I have a bunch of upto t10 maps at the mo.

I'm not looking to complete the game! :) but if I could farm a bit faster on the higher maps for more currency I dont mind putting the time in.

I think I made my profile public but if I messed it up, someone let me know how to fix it :P

I geared my assasin yesterday and today doing t8-t12 maps and feel, that his build isn't squishy at all. If you act like a caster, then it can be squishy, since u take ranged attacks and run around to replenish your ES pool. Personally i think assasin should play agressive, which means engage on the monster packs. What i've noticed from your gear:
1) you need to get on rare ring more physical damage, that scales very good, thats why your tooltip a bit low.
2) you need remove bleeding flask (at least i dont see from flask setup)
3) you need to get somewhere accuracy rating, somewhere 300 at least, or more. Check your offensive stats when you click on blade flurry stats, there are line "Chance to hit", i bet your's is somewhere ~70%, which means, every 3rd attack is missed, which isn't good. With some accuracy you will boost it. Easiest place probably to get it on gloves & rare ring, since no more options left with chayula.
4) you should optimize your flask setup. Topaz flask isn't required at this build, your resists must be capped. If not, then do it! In that way you save one flask, and you really dont need 2 movement flasks, if you telling that you clear slow, so where you can rush with 2 flasks?
5) another small thing, make your white flasks 20% quality, just find white one and use 4 orbs to make it 20%, or find a superior one with more quality, if you are short on that type of currency, that improves duration on our flasks, what is very important

Thats the example of my flask setup, which probably most important thing while playing ES, is to control your flasks:


Your really need 1 silver flask (it gives onslaught = attack speed, which helps to attack with blade flurry faster = more attacks = faster clearspeed, movement to move around = you dont have any movement speed bonus on boots, and casting speed = not so important, but ok for flame dash or similar skills if you are stuck somewhere). You should roll on it remove bleeding/freeze
The next my flask is granite (you have Lion's Roar, its better, i just didn't upgraded yet)
Another flask is basalt to reduce physical damage taken by 20%, which makes you tankier + remove freeze roll you should get on it (or on silver one)
You need also 1 quicksilver flask but check for rolls, the best probably roll is 20% chanche to get charge on crit + movement speed (which helps alot to move from death ends or to next pack)
And the last one is atziri for leech.

Personally i play like this:
turn on silver, movement, basalt, granite at the same time when i reach one pack of monsters and atziri on top of that, if pack is big and you see that you need to leech a bit more, killing it, and charging with shield, or using anotehr movement skill to the next pack, doing same thing. After ~2 groups (or more if needed), pop up vaal haste and go to the next 2 packs, and basically repeat the thing :) i always engage and act not like cast, but almost like a melee, currently it works :D

I did get a lions roar flask tonight, a better resist ring and looked into better rez boots to over cap (buy poe.trade is playing up again it seems).

1. Your Topaz Flask is useless to you because you take no damage from poison. You badly need an anti-bleed flask for corrupted blood. You don't need two Quicksilvers. I personally use the following:

I used to use an anti Bleed Silver Flask but I found myself dying to bleed because I'm lazy don't manage flasks well enough. This is also why I hate Kiara's. Silver Flask uses 40 charges per use which is a lot. You should swap your flasks for a Stibnite + Silver/Granite/Jade instead. Definitely spend some time buying or crafting better flasks with 20% quality on them.

2. Your resist jewel is kind of mediocre.

3. Your vaal regalia is super budget and definitely could use an upgrade. You spent so much on the other pieces but that body armor is just garbage. Get a 5L 700 ES chest. This should cost you 1ex at most.

How important is voidheart in this build in terms of dps increase?

Also, is inc crit dmg better than added chaos dmg for the 6L setup?
