Another idea that should help is socketing fortify support with whirling blades.

I was thinking about it. I was considering swaping to leap slam caus WB often stop at random obstacles...
I have to question if the 30% increased crit chance from Ice Golem is worth it compared to a Flame golem with 150% increased effect enchant from helmet, giving you 50% increased generic damage (double dipping, just like minion damage with scourge claw). Especially with guranteed hits in the budget version, i dont think ice golem is worth it compared to flame golem.

Ice Golem sort of becomes redundant if your accuracy and crit rates are very high already. I figure if you can maintain about near 90% accuracy and over 75% crit rate (after power charges), then it may be better to switch to a different golem.

False. In the scourge claw version, the ice golem will be the better option (even if you have 90% chance to hit, and high crit). You can test this, or calculate it out. However, on the budget version you may squeeze out a little more damage with flame golem if your critical chance is high enough because accuracy is not rolled twice on the budget version. If the critical chance is not high enough, then the ice golem will be better (again, this is only for the budget version).

Please keep in mind that the scourge claw version and the budget version are different beasts and require different types of care to min/max properly. In conclusion, to optimize your damage you will need to take everything into account. I would recommend path of building.

depends on your total mana/mana left but Soul Raker node should fix all your mana problems.

with my version flame golem with enchanted abyssus would indeed result in more dps.
that is because I totally went on DoT

Been leveling as this build for the past week and it seems pretty solid once you hit certain threshold of gear. Would not recommend for beginners and I would definitely not roll with abyssus in a hardcore leagues. Having said that, I think the build is pretty fun once you get rolling. Leveling isn't too bad once you get CI and damage kicks ass as soon as you can equip scourge (actually leveled with mortem morsu until 70, pretty solid damag). Only 86 atm but I'll be putting some attempts on shaper once I get a few more nodes. Killed minotaur twice with a couple deaths, so still need to work on some things. With flasks/con effect I get around 60k tooltip BUT I'm only at 8k ES with abyssus, so reflect and t16 bosses hurt like hell.

Anyway here's my gear for reference

Thanks for the feedback !

Here are some things you can do to increase survivability, your gear is pretty good, very good abyssus and scourge claws, but your voidheart has lowest roll on poison you can have.

And then again you are using HoWA spectral throw colours on your regalia. You dont have a faster attacks support, BF has 60% MORE attack speed , so those 55% from faster attacks + other as speed on tree + 10% from 20% quality bf gets a 1.6 multiplyer and such give you about 8-9 attacks per second ---> enough life leech to only die from 1shot slams.

Second is you dont have Stun immunity besides kiaras , which is a one use only for 3.5sec if you cant kill the boss till then you will have big problems with stuns, on minotaur even more cuz he does insane phys dmg with his attacks and the rocks falling, while you got abyssus.

thrid you got only acc roll on amulet, on lvl 86 it might not be a big problem yet, but i would look for gloves with a t1 accuracy roll too :) .

Enjoy !

If you have a mana problem it might be that you dont do enough dmg to leechback , you get 0.8% default mana leech from tree, but lets use 1% leech , if you have 90 mana and you bf has about 15 mana use per use, with 8aps , you loose 120mana per second .

To leech that back youd need to do atleach 12.000 k dmg per second , with abyssus you do 12k atleast with 1hit in first stage , so it shouldnt be a problem to leech back unless you do crazy low dmg .
I was wondering if anyone have tried both Budget and Scourge versions and can confirm the difference? Im currently playing budget build with descent gear but i cannot go higher than rare tier 7 maps, maybe my level is too low (77) ?

Im thinking of going Scourge version but only if i know i will be stronger and tankier
