Midnight Bargain....WTFFFFF

To the "Queen's Decree vs. Midnight Bargain" debate... think about this factor:

You can use 2 Midnight Bargains.

EDIT: I somewhat forgot about the 30% life reservation when I first said that... hmm... 1 solid alchemist explosion would wreck that idea, I suppose.

It's better to use a shield with mana regen or some other stat you need. 2 is just not worth it for that stats you could have.

But the spectres. The spectres! And the Zombies... with between 30% and 60% increased damage... from weapons. @_@ More stacking, moar!

I remember when Queen's decree first came out in CB and getting it "later on" in the game - in my 60's so I assumed it was a higher lvl drop. But as for game play and game style, I would pick the sword over the wand any day. This is why:

The max life coupled with the game + the skele duration is an invaluable asset.

But this is just my personal playing preference.

Agreed 100%. I laugh at people throwing mountains of currency to get the Bargain when essentially they both serve the same overall purpose, and in some cases, the Sword is better.

The thing is the sword is 2 handed and that can be a problem.
Anyways i got my midnight last week and it costed about 4 exalted, so if people selling for more than 5 or so they are scamming my friend, just ignore them.

I figured people were scamming but whenever I looked around in chat people wanted 20+ exalted's, and when you see that atleast 4 time's in a row when your still new to the game, you get to wondering.
MAYBE it would of helped if I left on trade chat when I play to see random prices of thing's, but I doubt it. =/

Just as a tiny bit of background of how I started this, Since trade chat was doing me no good each time I asked, I went and looked on http://poe.xyz.is/ and each one I saw with good stat's was WAY overpriced, they might have been really old link's, i don't remember there posted time's. Probably could of found cheaper one's if they had worse stat's but it's good to start high sometime's.

I mean, it's still overpriced at 4 Exalts imho... Especially for a 30% HP reserve item. That's almost a third of your HP for a couple more summons and slightly inflated dmg and speed. That and the Wand has abysmal spell damage, meaning if you do support casting , it sucks major ass... Especially since most summoners have almost no spell damage nodes taken... So they need as much spell damage on gear as possible.

I mean, my Summoner does just fine even in lvl 70+ maps using only cheaply bought Bones of Ullr, Sidibreathe, and a self aquired +2 Summon circlet without having to use Midnight Bargain. I'd rather get a great casting wand and do spell support to my minions than having one or two more summons with slightly faster attacks... So i'll pass on Midnight unless I can get one cheap (1 or 2 exalted would be a correct price for it imho...)... And even then, i'm not sure I want to gimp myself out of 30% HP and my Spell Dmg bonus.

I've been building a summoner on Default that has found 2 of the summoner boots and 1 summoner amulet in my travels, these items are pretty cheap and I would highly recommend for any summoner build. Never found on the ground currency higher than a Regal Orb and at level 77 I see no *need* for a Midnight Bargain or a Queen's Decree. The level and quality of the gems will be good enough for end game, Midnight Bargain is like the sweet cherry on top, something to aspire to get but it's not necessary. I prefer using a shield, I prefer having enough life not to die, and I prefer having currency for things that will improve my character more efficiently. 5-10 exalts for a single item with drawbacks is clearly a bloated market. Take 5 exalts and you can improve the DPS of yourself and your minions more than either item could. If I had the currency to spare and had no other upgrades I wouldn't hesitate to throw down on some Midnight Bargain action, but anyone thinking they need the item is totally kidding themselves.

If a level 77 summoner can complete pretty much every map without death without struggle without Midnight Bargain you can too. Get it when you can afford one and start shopping around. It's a high demand item, people are going to try and make you pay more than it's worth to get it, that's the nature of how to trade in this game. Buy low sell high. The only people who have ever contacted me about their Midnight Bargain sale were people trying to boost up the bids they already had on it because they didn't want the item to sell for "so little". They let the auction go for days/weeks/months just to get that last exalted some impatient buyer is willing to spend on quite a useful unique. It's not worth any summoner's time to care this much about a single item, and it wouldn't be worth having no more currency, not to me.

Heh at people talking about exalts they have found. The only exalt I have ever found I found on my verry first character in CB. Its been 10 months since I found one. I think if thier is a worst luck award I may have it. Although in OB I have found a few uniques none of them are anygood lol. Oh, except the iron helm or whatever it is that increases physical damage by 20 and the neck that has 20 fire resists and 50 life. Both are awesome for early leveling.

Everyone should be extremely leery about dropping a lot of currency on a BIS item. This is beta still. Overpowered items could easily be changed. If youfind it, wear it but otherwise I would use something else.
