Ascendancy Points Unlocked

Why not have labyrinths unlock ascendancy points from lower difficulties. Like, if you complete the second version of the labyrinth without finishing the first one, you still get the points for both of them (4)?

Why stop there? Why not have all quest rewards unlocked after you do them with 1 character? Then you could just level at the leveling spots until you are high enough to enter the next difficulty and wouldn't have to worry about fighting the act bosses.

Allowing you to skip progression is bad for the game. Before you know it you have something like shared paragon levels.

... Here, eat dog shit (the lab) because it's part of the progression, because, well we said so. I mean, can't cut out progression now, therefore, dog shit is good! Some great logic there. Especially because that wonderful logic is backed up by 'lore'. lul

So much salt.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

this one makes sense. lab is a challenge and rite of passage. when one can do uber lab there is little chance he will fail normal one

ofc there is minimal abuse potrntial including carry service. but even when being carried one has to not die to traps. and uber traps are deadly when one has one-click mindset and is on a time budget induced rush

Minimal? I've been asked for help doing normal labyrinth... NORMAL!

So?
People still ask for help at Normal Merveil and (OMG) Normal BRUTUS.

According to the (beloved; you're back, sweetie) Siochan's logic these bosses should be removed from the game even if (and\or because) they are part of the progression and backed up by the lore.
Because people don't like these bosses and struggle at beating them.

Since this issue will never go away (even if all forum regulars suddenly imploded, the content would remain just as divisive for new players), GGG is going to need to do something about the Labyrinth, for the sake of their game's health if nothing else.

ahahahha I like how you talk and think you speak for the majority.... NO

Well, everyone has different things he/she likes or dislikes. Me, for example, I'd rather run Labyrinth three times than Act4 once.

I'm not talking about likes/dislikes, but rather about the justifying content because of some mindless definition of 'progression'. "Welp, it was put in the game and character development was gated behind it, therefore on that basis alone, it's dumb to remove/change it!" lol

The lab is just horrible, fine. Putting ascendency behind it, that is just shit.
Every time one of these Lab threads comes up, all I can think is that someone has just tried the lab a few times for the first time, and didn't finish it, and is super butthurt about that, so they say Ascending should be unrelated to lab, blah blah blah. The reality is that once you get the mechanics down, and figure out how it works, and have a little practice at it, completing the lab in under 15-20 minutes is not unusual. Even on characters that are TERRIBLY optimized for lab running (hybrid life/ES for example), I find myself able to run the lab pretty quickly. Just overlevel. Finish the leveling process even. Get the merc dried lake, then run normal and cruel lab. I guarantee you will breeze through it. Then once you hit 75-ish, do Merc lab. Then ~80 do Uber.
U MAD?

You don't honestly think that's the only reason the Labyrinth has become infamous, do you?
