Uninstalled.

Hell if I were new, played till level 70 i would say EXACTLY THE SAME !!!
He has a point.

Many don't realize the way it was in closed beta / end 2012 and what improved, it's also amazing, while many things went in a different direction than expected.

Care to elaborate? There are plenty of folks who dislike the lab, but there are also plenty of us who enjoy running labs. In the end, once you understand the mechanic, it take like 15 minute MAX, so if you want the points, just do it.

-Exp is bad on purpose, like Ragnarok online bad BUT with even worse penalties than Ragnarok Online if you die.
It looks like you got a character to low 70s. The XP penalties don't kick in until 95+. What exactly are you talking about? There are penalties that apply if you run zones that are either too low level or too high level for your character, but this isn't anything unique to this game.

-Enemies do too much damage, i have like my resistances maxed at 75% which is the cap, almost 4k hp and more than 1k ES and still getting a lot of damage and i only expect this garbage to get worse, no wonder why people is playing full ES builds with Life steal. Your game is bassically who oneshots first. The other day i saw a streamer with 1 hp and TONS of ES, that should tell you something.
1 HP and TONS of ES is an intentional mechanic. If you spec into Chaos Inoculation on the passive tree, you become immune to chaos damage, but only have 1 hp at max. Also, having "almost 4K hp and 1K ES" is not enough. That's just the way this game works. You need to spec into more life on the tree, and probably need to get more flat life on your gear.

Fair enough. The trade system DOES still need a lot of work.

-Crafting RNG sucks, is better to just trade, which sucks again, so it sucks x2.
What do you mean crafting RNG sucks? You mean that it isn't as easy as pie to craft a GG item with minimal investment? Why should it be? This is not Diablo 3 where everything is just given to you.

Some of them do, yes. Many of them do not though.

-Your mobility is poorly designed and you know this and are ABUSSING this to create ARTIFICAL DIFFICULTY by adding, the Lab with its BS traps and your bosses spamming shit all over the place.
Funny you say this since the meta right now (and for a while has been) is focuses heavily on clear speed. Fast movement is not actually an issue in this game. Whatchu talkin' bout Willis?

-The map thing is a good idea but poorly executed, just another RNG mechanic BS.
Go play D3. There is no RNG involved with Grift progression.

-People resign and dont finish their characters, they dont get to lvl 100 unless you are no lifers that abuse a skillbuild whatever that is OP.
Getting to level 100 is not meant to be a reasonable goal for the majority of players. It is also not necessary to complete any part of the game. Getting to high 80's, low 90's doesn't take that much investment, and will easily allow you to access all areas of content.

-Melee is not viable, bad mobility, enemies doing too much damage, bosses spamming shit all over the place and TRASH tier melee skills, prevent them to be viable.
This is known. If you paid attention to the information we get from Devs, you would know that this is a major issue they are working on re-balancing.

-Most of your skill design is terrible, and this is the main reason you dont retain new players that dont get past the first act, they just look bad, not all of them but most of them are too simplistic visually and mechanically, specially melee skills. Movility skills like flame dash are unresponsive AS FUCK. Also your whole "gem skill system" is boring, new players only get a few of this gems and they say "well this sucks" and they leave, because they dont see any skill progression, what you call skill progression is crap, plain and simple.
Pretty easy to say "This is crap" without giving any reasons... Please elaborate?

I was having fun till i got to lvl 70, then i realized how poorly designed this game is, i saw the BS of experience on death, the whole lab locked ascendancy points, i did normal and cruel lab, and i was planning to try merciless but no fucking way i was gonna do ubber after seeing how BS the Ubber trials were, no fucking way.

So yeah, thats it for me, i had some fun, not gonna lie, sadly you killed the game for me.

Bye, not gonna see any replies, so dont even bother because you are wasting your time fanboys.
Why even make this post then? Wat?
U MAD?
You guys know this is a classic semi-valid feedback thread with mounds of salt for some reason.

People don't usually leave a fair and unbiased review, it MUST act like PoE killed their parents and personally assaulted them in real life.

Someone plays through the game 3x over and hits level 70 and apparently out of the myriad of other free to play games that could had sucked 10-20 hours out of them or a full AAA game experience, path of exile was instead the most torturous thing they have experienced.

After you know finishing the base game.

This is like mass effect 3 again where people were giving it like a 1 out of 10 because the ending sucked.

Perhaps because the feedback was intended for GGG and not for you?

Perhaps because the OP just wanted to leave feedback, and not have an extended fight with the white knights this forum is famous for?

Just a couple of guesses.

One thing for sure i'll agree on is the damage of some things.. It can be very frustrating to invest extremely heavily into defenses and STILL get one shot though layers of defenses that just leave you scratching your head like.. WTF?

All it does is just adds to the clear speed meta even more in the end because in A LOT of cases the best solution in this game to overcome certain bosses and certain maps and situations is just MORE DAMAGE.

I mean after a while you get to the point where once you invest heavily into defenses and still run into situations where you get destroyed you just decide to not worry so much about defenses and just worry about getting it dead before it kills you. Reducing fights to as short as possible so you dont even have to deal with mechanics or deal with the boss's one shot attack.. Just nuke that shit down before it gets to that point.

^^^ This ^^^

After being one-shot on a Marauder with nothing but defensive nodes chosen (years ago), I only make glass cannons now.

Spoiler
The only damage increases he had were from the strength nodes... That character took forever to make because he killed so slowly. Gah.

I remember what killed him though. It was Piety. Before Malachai was introduced to the game...

Yeah, yeah. I know there are more layers of defense now that did not exist back then... but it is still the same RNG nonsense... it might actually work... it might not. No thanks.

Gambling is not that fun. I'd rather just make a new character and fool around with things.

Except I don't trade... so really they are glass pistols. Sometimes glass slingshots.

Sigh.

Until you run into a reflect mob, that both is intended to crap tank builds and cannon builds.
I die in a blink with elemental reflect.
OP has some valid Points.

I still play and enjoy / hate POE, and that will be so until a real Competitor joins the Market.
That is the Advantage POE has at the Moment, no other Game fits that good in the Genre right now but once something new, more polished is coming up, lot of People will notice the many Flaws this Game has.
Guys, what you don't notice is that having 4K life +1K ES in a lvl 71 character is a lot... hell, check my Gladiator in Essence, it does have only 4.5K HP and only 400 ES and is level 92, come on!!

This guy is saying something very important that most can't actually think: most of the new player base are going to uninstall (mostly in my opinion, because of the impossible self-found that makes them unable to have an oportunity to catch old players without trading).

The reality is simple, the game can't survive long enough if they only keep old players around, they need a fresh base of players that can contribute and help the game to become better in the future. And for that, they need to think ideas that can improve the game to make it fair to everyone.
OP, maybe some of your individual points have a little bit of merit here and there, but the sum of what you are saying is: "game is not for me". :|
