[2.4] low life Mjolner supertank done right by Rico

Rico,
What do you think about as a basic belt before something good could be achived ?
Also have you tested using herald of thunder instead of AA in order to boost damage even higher? What do you think ?
Or using Conductivity instead of EW ? probably we could force more damage output, no ?

Thats a good belt to start with. I use HoT with Alphas Howl setup.

This is my most current setup:



I still need a better shield, like 490+ ES and chaos resistance. Also lvl 4 Empower and lvl 21 Disc. With the setup above I have 6.3k ES, with bette shield will reach 6.5k. With a better shield and lvl 4 Empower and lvl 21 Disc 6.6k. Thats on lvl 92. With lvl 94 I can grab additional 15% ES increase and will scratch the 7k surface. And that will be it.

Ofc some gems needs lvling like Enchance but thats minor tweaks.

About Conductivity vs Ele Weakness. EW is better as it lowers enemy's res for fire as well.

Im not using Haste but HoT so yes, I have like 166 life left with just one lvl 3 Enlighten. No problems with skill spamming :)

Am i right that using Alpha's makes sense only when you got 21 purity gems ? If yo don't, Alphas do not give you really much of advantages ?

Well yes, however you can use Puritys + lvl 2 Empower + Alphas and have lvl 23 Puritys at a cost of bit more mana reserved.

Good job keeping the mjolner alive man. I still play with my mjolner inquisitor quite a bit.

Core has been nerfed a lot so a deathless run is pretty easy these days, still tanking the slam is no easy feat.

I have a LL duelist wander that is kinda useless after the frost wall thing so I might make this at some point.

But I just wanted to say, keep making mjolner builds now that most people have abandoned this.

I would prefer alpha R-B-B-G but dont wanna roll more atm.

I still have 215 life after run all auras beside HoI. I only run HoI when the map rolls hexproof - so i cancel EW.
I have 2 jewels socket with +5 life gain and still got "life" probs to sustane my MS. Well @ Boss or Champ packs np - but trash is kinda pain sometimes...

I run 7 jewels atm - 5.9k es 25k armor - lvl 89.
the next 7 lvls will add 58% maximum energyshield

My jewels are really nice i guess will add em l8r.

I can't clear uber lab - any advice? ^^ I am still not that facetanky i would like 2 be...

Well you need lvl 23 puritys (fire/light at least) so either corrupted lvl 21 in Alhas Howl or lvl 20 + empower in Alphas Howl. This is very important vs elemental dmg as it gives more max resistances.

Uber Lab is very easy with this build as long as you have Death Door boots. I did it at lvl 89 was a faceroll.

Also you are lacking 3l Lightning strike - faster att - multistrike setup somewhere in your gear. Molten strike is to "mana heavy" vs packs. 3l Lightning strike is perfect.
