You definitely do not want controlled destruction. It weakens our critI called chance which is counter productive to the build.

Elemental focus is what you want for general mapping power and for bosses use controlled destruction.

Increased crit chance is almost useless to the build. Power charges and base crit chance will so completelt ensure Sufficient crits for the build that it's usefulness will be very minimal when in comparison to the power of elemental focus/controlled

I've been having a lot of fun with your build so thanks for posting. I'm looking for suggestions on the best ways to spend my (extremely) limited budget to make improvements to my Assassin.

I have the basic elements of the build (cospri's, voll's amulet, basic rings, etc).

My chest is only 5L. I've spent 300 fuses trying to 6L my 4G2B chest without any luck so far. I don't have Vinktar flask. My gloves/helm/shield are all fairly basic items in the 10-15c price range.

I have a budget of about 3ex to make improvements and was wondering what you would recommend?

6L Voll's protector? I might just be able to afford 3G2B1R - or I could keep trying to 6L my spare 4G2B.

Death's Door boots? These seem like a luxury, but bleeding sure gets old fast. ;)

Vinktars? Upgrade my armor/rings? Something else?

I appreciate any suggestions you might have. (I am just leveling/experimenting with misc gems, so you can ignore some of them that look strange)

Ouch that gear isn't the greatest, but should easily be able to farm atleast yellows. If I were you I would get a pair of 20% attack and cast speed gloves and start spamming maps making currency. Unless you are good at flipping on poe.trade.

You definitely need to upgrade almost every piece that's not a unique. I don't know what else to tell you other than keep making currency, if you're looking for order of priority for upgrading your gear it would go like this.

Spell/10%pen Vinktars -> 20% attack gloves(100+ES)-> 6L -> Rings -> Luxury (Death's door, +1 endurance belt, Hubris enchant..)

I have no delusions about the greatness of my gear. ;) Most of it (other than the amulet) was self found.

Your list is exactly what I was looking for in order to prioritize my limited budget for improvements.

So I got a question, idk why might just be me being stupid and missing something but with both elreon rings and cyclone on a 5L with both purities and discipline up I only have 3 mana to cast cyclone and the cyclone skill itself costs 5 which forces me to drop my disc aura. Any idea as to why this happens? I do have a lvl 2 enlighten linked to all 3 auras but that doesnt seem to do the trick.

I realy love coc build! I wondering how much currency its cost to make that build viable end game? I currently have 20ex...should i wait?

You have to take the 4% reduced mana reserved point near CI.

u only really need the purities if youre low on res right? my res are way over capped (ele weakness) so atm i did my rings... need to redo another ring to replace the non accuracy one.

using haste in place of a purity so i can get the attack speed im missing from glove.

No. Level 20 purities give +4 MAX RESIST. this means we take alot less reflected damage, otherwise it's possible to kill ourselves to ele reflect. This makes sure that can't happen.
