[2.5] The Shaper Deletion Build, Shaper/Uber Down, Millions of DPS (with Videos)

Started it early in morning got to 74 in few hours.
I didn't leveled with ED contagion ( i dislike those skills ) so i just rerouted tree later to main build at 72 and started to play traps.

Actualy it's pretty smooth running with a 5L / 6.5k ES ( discipline 20 from another char ) i don't see any damages issues that's a sure thing.

Using phase run aswell with inc duration since we already blind enemies with ascendancies i find it cool to add to that a 80% reduced visibility from those who arn't blinded. Add to that the move speed and phasing and the feel of agressive gameplay it's pretty cool. Question of preferences i guess ^^

Nothing wrong so far except mana management that can be a bit hard at some points ( 88 mana cost in a 5L is a bit heavy :) :) :) ) ...
Pretty strong build i enjoyed the run. Thanks for sharing zabosnu. Great work ! :)

That's awesome. If you are having mana issues I would use a mana potion that has increased recharge recovery, I literally never run out of mana. But that's cool that you put your own spin on it, I like it. (:

I am wondering if your build is missing a point in Ghost Reaver? I'm playing the build now, and do not see a point in using the leech items if the point isn't there. I am new to the game though so I may be missing something, but I am trying to figure out why I keep dying.

You can't leech with traps/totems. You need regen and Potions to stay alive.
Have you tried the duration of the chaos storm with only one circle of skill duration nodes?

In other words, can it still be effective getting around 45% skill duration from one cluster and picking up more ES/ES regen?

I saw your other reply how the skill duration effects the long term dps since the traps has a cooldown deadzone but the cluster on the south side of the scion wheel seems like too much of a stretch.

Haven't tried the build yet but plan on respeccing one of my sins for it.

Let me explain it in a different way. In this game we have "increased" and "more" modifiers. "Increased" is additive percentage, while "more" is multiplicative (at the end of your calculation). This is why a lot of builds focus on getting the "more" multiplier modifiers (on gear, tree, support gems...etc). However, in this specific build the increased skill effect duration nodes are the only sources and thus, technically, they act the same as "more" multipliers. You can prove this to be true by using the duration equation.

Personally I would not give up a 45% skill effect duration increased/more multiplier as it is a huge boost in damage which affects both firestorm and poison at the same time. Mathematically and from experience it's more optimal to keep both skill effect duration wheels (with a total of 95% increased skill effect duration from the entire tree).

Having said that, you can modify the tree in any way you wish. If you feel more comfortable with losing a good chunk of DPS (this really only applies to longer fights such as Shaper) and getting more ES then that's perfectly fine. Not everyone plays this game the same way, so people will have to make their own changes to suit their preference. If you can fit it in, I would recommend a CWDT setup with Frostwall (and increased duration gem). Any time you get hit, the wall will go up and last a long time protecting you against projectiles and other attacks which will give you enough time to recharge/regen your shield.

Finally, I do not want people to simply 100% copy/paste my builds (or any builds). Not everyone has the same resources (gear, gems...etc) and thus should instead adapt and make changes to optimize their builds the best they can based on what they have (and their play-style).

Hi there, is this a similar build that you made before (you tube Mar18,2016 Trap chaos orb build)?
The damage dealt in that video in Atziri was amazing, then you had shavronne's on and now you use mantle and from the looks of it rest of gear is similar.
So at the end this is a better version of a same build you did before yes?

And btw where is the pussy?

I can only agree with that. Require a really careful playstyle clearly slowing done the leveling.
Just got one shooted on a t6 blue map with 7.3k ES now and granite flask up :D wasn't paying attention.
Maybe i'm missing something anyway last time i used to play CI was few years ago ^^

I'm considering taking an additional ES cluster till 90 ( above elemental overload ) and rerouting later it should do the job ^^ Got decent gears so far.
