[outdated] King of the Forest (Crit version)
Played this a few leagues ago and retrying again. Currently trying the cospris will version as it always me to use my vuln on hit gloves from another build as I dont have 6ex to drop on a pair of gloves, still need barrage enchant and other stuff but im broke at the moment.
So far it seems ok, but its quite slow and I'm not sure Im going to stick with the cospris version. I might just use blood rage and snake bites and make this is a fast mapper and not bother with the gloves / second pair of boots for shaper as I have another build for that. It's good but do I wanna put so much cash into this, hmmm. Are vuln on hit gloves crucial for t11-15 bosses? I can'r remember from memory but right now the cospris version just seems slow and it's not what I remember from last time. I think the queen of the forest version is more expensive but "harder" to play but better top end playstyle. So far I'm level 76 just leveling up, need all new gear but just thinking outloud here, anyone else tried the cospris varient. Just seems like im spending a shit tonne of money just to play strand lol |

" I did cospri's will version in essence and it didn't seem so good to me. I am currently playing with queen of the forest and its a lot better, you get evasion, life and resists. Also over 190% movement speed depending on your evasion. You can also use stibnite flask or increased evasion on flasks but its not needed. I am currently at 87% ms with grace aura only. Better invest currency into 21/20 added chaos gem for barrage. Yea at start using frenzy to keep up charges seems clunky but you get used to it. Blood rage keeps you at max when you map, you don't need to use frenzy a lot to keep up charges, that helps a lot. I think vulnerability on hit gloves are not worth it, because you only need vulnerability for some bosses or harder rares. And you will need to attack with frenzy to keep up charges when you face those. So I did something much cheaper and works good for me so far. I am using this setup for snakebites with cast on crit corruption. You need frenzy to keep up charges anyway so its really good and cheap. " I think I'm going to just do your version, Ill have wasted some cash but I'm just not enjoying the cospris style. The bonus of being able to always poison is negated by its slow mapping speed for me. What colours do i need to make the gloves, GGBB? |

i am curious, i eventually intend to go back to assassin ascendancy class from trickster, right now i am really trying to get a couple mroe levels, and trickster is jsut much safer for leveling. but why does noone take the culling strike path, it appears to be really great, and it doesnt seem like the extra power charge path is on the same level. can someone break it down for me?

Helloooooooooo So I finally have the gear and such for this build. I have a couple issues. Keep in mine this is my first playthrough so Im pretty sure I have no idea what Im doing but I figure here is the place to ask some questions. 1. I have huge mana issues, with the reserve im rockin 206 mana and cant seem to sustain lightning arrows. 2. What do I do with barrage? Feel free take a peek at the gear and let me know what I can do better. Thanks!

Try not to spam lightning arrow just shoot one or two times it has nice clear range. As long as you hit something you should be able to sustain cost. Barrage is for single target, make sure that you are at maximum frenzy charges so you can poison on hit. As for gear you need one jewellery piece with 280+ accuracy, and get life on amulet, increased chaos damage jewellery save for last upgrade. Get more life on belt. Also get drillneck with additional arrow and "alchemist's quicksilver flask of adrenaline". " You don't seem to be playing this build. This build takes path to Deadly Infusion so we can have capped crit with diamond flask which combined with "Poison you inflict with Critical Strikes deals 100% more Damage" that Toxic Delivery gives us, makes for very nice poison damage. With death's opus we don't need any power charge on tree or from alira, so with diamond flask and 3 power charges we have capped crit. |

true, i am not playing "this" build but it was a general question of why people take the 1 extra power charge path instead of taking the culling strike path... on the assassin class.

" 8% per power charge is global critical strike multiplier, real reason people go for Deadly Infusion is that 0.5 critical strike chance per power charge. It adds 0.5 base crit chance for weapons or spells. If weapon or spell has 7.5% base critical chance, with 3 power charges it will have 9% base critical chance. It makes capping or getting high crit chance much easier. That base critical chance gets increased by critical strike chance modifiers you get on gear and passives. |
