[outdated] King of the Forest (Crit version)
Replaced my Temporal Chains gloves for Vulnerability yesterday. I'm full setup now except for %-chaos jewelry - going to be investing into that Envy spam now.
Holy shit though, the difference Vulnerability makes is insane, at least on things that die fast (after all, TC needs ~4 seconds to actually give its damage benefit). I'm spamming t14-15 maps for XP, and I'm very impressed. This was worth the 8ex definitely. -- In other news, I am trying to make this build as comfortable as possible for t14/15 spam. Clear is definitely the strength of it and I want to capitalize on it, get massive xp/h and try to push higher levels by grinding high tiers rather than easy map grind. This is what makes this build special, imo. I'm able to maintain 40 mil xp/h at level 94 which is pretty insane, so I want to see how far this can go if I manage to stabilize and never die at this pace. Going to post my experience on that so far. I died in a t14 map earlier to a spell one shot. CWDT didn't even proc, it was a straight 100% to 0%. Was a spell from an Essence rare mob, it was telegraphed and I could dodge it but it was pretty damn fast - so fast I want to fix it via the build, not gameplay. I had 6k or 6.1k Life at the time. So, I've moved some stuff around in my passives and now have every life node available, and upgraded all my jewels to 7% life ones. All of my rares life mods are tier 1 or 2, except for boots which is tier 3 (might upgrade that). I'm also using a Rustic Sash, not a Leather Belt base, so I'm missing ~40 life from that. The resulting life pool is 6.6k. So, just for science, I now know that the maximum life pool achievable is ~6.7-6.8k for this build. Dropping the helm for a rare could push this to ~7k, but I don't want to part with the +2 Barrage enchant. Other than that, I will probably buy a Taste of Hate. Not only does it increase Cold max res, but it also functions as a ghetto Basalt flask (20% phys reduction - should make Phys projectiles, especially in Vulnerability cursed maps, a bit less spooky), and most importantly, it will make me Chill/Freeze every single fucking thing, and that's what I'm after. Hopefully this will safeguard me totally vs all potential threats. (The only issue is that ToH only works off of Phys damage, which probably means I will be rerolling all Phys reflect maps; but not only I'm rich as fuck at this point, but reflect is just less common due to all the new map mods they added in the last big patch, so the cost of doing that is pretty low.) Worth noting is that Dying Sun increases our Fire max res, and that I'm using a Shock immunity roll on the Diamond Flask (Freeze immunity on the Quicksilver, Bleed removal on the Life Flask). I think the Shock immunity is absolutely necessary to have for Esh breaches (they are extremely common), as well as all the random lightning stuff you might encounter. Shock just makes you too vulnerable to getting one shot. I've also found the occasional Chaos damage to be spooky in high tiers (namely Chayula breaches and the tentacles that spit Chaos), so I got a Chaos resist roll on my belt; together with Devoto's you end up having 50-60%, which is enough to never be surprise killed. I'm also using an Atziri's Promise at the moment, giving me even more Chaos res, but I feel like it's totally unnecessary. I am, of course, Weakness curse capped (169%+). 20% xp away from 95 right now. Had another 2 utterly silly deaths, but those were my fault (to a trap in a trial... and to getting melee hit by the Promenade boss that Double Strikes - never go into melee range with that guy!) @Thaya thanks for information! And how do you sustain high level maps pool? I'm a bit stuck at 12-13 level. Do you chisel them all, reroll, buying maybe, using zana mods? Also, do you run Core maps deathless? I sometimes still getting one shot there (not often but happens from time to time on final boss).

Just did a Abyss Map deathless. Gear isn't that great, though I have the chaos jewellery. Map wasn't high damage mods either. But did have Enfeeble. Kaom was easy as pie. Would've killed him faster if not for the aura. Now have to build currency up to get that +2 Barrage helm or a 6L Reach. Will try Uber lab tomorrow.
Current Stats - 5421 Life with 1 life node to go. 19763 Barrage DPS fully buffed. 41233 LA DPS fully buffed. Both on 5 Link. 53% Evade chance with 16k or so evasion. Uncapped fire res because I was a giddy idiot and removed my fire res enchant to add chaos damage asap. Also 1 ring doesn't have enough life. All said, I could get upto 5700 life easy. Maybe even 6k if I can craft good jewels. Otherwise, as of now, I guess I can run t15 maps no probs. |

" 124 Atlas bonus, I chisel everything t14 or higher, and apply Bloodlines (Beyond is more XP/h according to the community, but I don't like Beyond because of FPS drops/freezes in Breaches - I still do it occasionally because I like to gamble my life, but if I was 100% committed I would only do Bloodlines). My currency pool is still going up while doing this. T16 drops probably being the biggest contributor - the bonus going over 100 enables them to drop in t14s, and make them a pretty common drop in t15s. Selling them for 20-25c a pop depending on which map really adds up. This is also the reason I only chisel/zana mod at t14 - map drops depend on IIQ. But that said, I am not doing 100% t14/15s even like this. Occasionally I drop down to t13s, but luckily t13 has some good layouts (Gorge, Waterways, Shaped Atoll, Sulphur Wastes, High Gardens), and by the time it happens I have quite a lot of them lying around. Haven't done a t12 or lower in a long time. Edit: oh and I forgot to say about Core. I trade my Cores for other T15s! I've always gotten an instant response on a "wtt Core for other t15" on 820 trade, but you can also trade them for chaos and buy other maps, their prices are all the same. Malachai is indeed spooky as fuck. Spells is this builds biggest weakness, and he has a fuckton of spells. I think that's fair and square. He's doable deathless if you dodge everything, but you know, rather safe than sorry. Especially when you're 90+ playing for XP. The other t15s are trivial - Kaom is just an easy boss, and Daresso is completely trivialized by Decoy Totem. Honestly, I'm not even sure if Daresso is aware of my existence - he only ever got to fight a totem. Last edited by M4RED#0833 on Dec 28, 2016, 3:00:47 PM

Can anyone verify what changes need to be made to make this build HC viable. ty

Just crafted this beauty, is it worth slamming an exalt onto? If so do you recommend crafting the flat chaos damage before or after?

Bought the Taste of Hate and can confirm that it lives up to my expectations (posted in the wall of text a few posts up).
Everything that isn't a boss is perma frozen and shattered, 14/15 map bosses are perma chilled (and die before casting a spell or finishing an auto attack), physical projectiles seem much less scary (there's a lot less projectiles flying around in general due to the freezes, but the fact that you also take less damage from them is very noticeable vs Porcupines), and Tul breaches are slightly less spooky even with the lag. Dinged 95 without dropping under 35mil xp/h from ~75% till the end Last edited by M4RED#0833 on Dec 28, 2016, 5:36:40 PM

" Thanks for the informative posts. Would you be able to share your full flask set up? Here is what I have running now but may want to replace Atziri's promise with Taste of Hate after reading your post.
Spoiler
Thanks. |

My profile is public if you wanna check anything. And yeah your setup is exactly the same except the Shock immunity roll; Atziri is also the flask I used to run up until today. Shock immunity is something I consider mandatory due to Esh breaches and Lightning ground map mod. Being shocked can easily lead to getting one shot by something you're not even considering to be a threat, especially with our health pools. There are also rare mobs that can shock you, boss abilities, or just taking a Lightning crit from a random source. Last edited by M4RED#0833 on Dec 28, 2016, 6:44:59 PM

Thanks for this guide and the thread you made at the start of breach, wish i followed it for leveling as it was pretty painful leveling with the bow at the start of the league and farming dried lake for currency to 75~, after the first few items it became very smooth and i have played this build/char more than any other character before and has allowed me to achieve some long time goals this league with getting Headhunter.
I think ive got to the point where its not worth upgrading anymore gear. A couple points i found in playing the build, i started off using chaos dmg jewelry but due to how hard it is to get good rolls i switched to accuracy, life and res rings with open prefix for chaos damage and found that to be better as you can get very high life rolls this way. I got the final upgrade today with vuln gloves and really like it so decided to give Sin's rebirth a try after swapping out Witchfire brew and i like how its going so far for Maps/Breach domains. Has anyone got any better suggestions on another flask to use which would be better? Also looking for a better suggestion on gem to use in my gloves as added chaos dmg is wasted on Frenzy? (Can re-roll colours/links so dont limit suggestions)
