(2.4) Wormblaster the Third (A Herald of Ice build)
Any reason why you wouldn't pick Annihilation? I feel like the ~10% crit is better, as im struggling alot to keep up flask charges with single target

" Gratz to your 4-off-color Harvester :-) Perhaps you should try to change your networking mode from lockstep to predictive. I had the same lags when I started to use the taming/emberwake combination and lags nearly disappeared since I use the predictive networking mode (it improves the game play significantly on the client side). I have lost some resistances and life with taming/emberwake but it can be compensated by using more defensive stats on your tree or jewels. Especially during boss fights you will notice a really big damage increase. |

Niceeee lol. Looks fun, I havent played in months so Ive never seen any of the wormblaster builds.
How much can u get a harvest for nowadays? |

" On essence its around 12ex for a random one, 20ex or so for a 6L |

Ok. Did my first tier 15 map ever today. And dropped a lair of the hydra. I have nearly 8k hp and MoM with 360 mana. And I'm having a lot of fun (capped my res with more defensive jewels as damage comes from the taming + emberwake combo (Djfang, you really pushed this already great build further as far as I'm concerned).
However I've been wondering : couldn't some damage nodes be given up in the tree to get even more life or more utilities ? Or maybe the socketed damage from helm (which is nice but some great helmets are available too) ? Damage output does not seem to come from those things after all (but I'd like to know if someone tried that). |

With the new performance patch, I think ele prolif wormblaster is actually pretty viable now. I can feel little to no stutters/lags in predictive mode. Got myself a mantra of flames, emberwake and taming. Resists are still overcapped but I lost about 100% cold damage and 550 hp (9750 -> 9200), and lost a slot for frost bomb (Could replace phase run but permanent phasing and movement speed is too good to lose). General map clearing feels more or less the same, but with prolif now everything is freezing and burning, which boosts my survivability. Will see how well it fares against guardians/shaper.

Reporting back after doing a few hours of mapping: The performance of the prolif setup definitely has been improved a lot compared to before the latest patch. However I can still feel too much lag and desync, so even though the damage output was insane it was pretty uncomfortable to play. After all, most bosses take up to 3 seconds to kill anyway without taming. I will still keep the taming-emberwake-prolif setup for shaper etc but for now I will stick to my usual setup.

Thx for the guide.
Enjoying the build so far. Just wondering how you guys deal with the Immortal Rares/Totems? Any advise on that matter? And what about the elemental status immune map mod. Was thinking about abyssal cry in a way. But I can't find a way to be auto casted. Thx in advance |

Hi Neuerkunde.
Totems sometimes break after a while (and you're not in danger near them even if the monsters don't die). If they simply won't I stand further away, luring the monsters away from safety and the totem is the only remaining thing at the end of the day. Elemental status immune mod is my nightmare. It is a no go and that's it. But I'm runnin the Emberwake + taming variant Djfang showed so I suppose it could go better with the regular build AND enough DPS. |
