I haven't personally tried it, but you can try this.

How does elemental equilibrium work with this build if we arent hitting the enemies with another element other then fire damage?

It doesn't. We need to have some source of elemental damage other than fire damage. We MUST NOT have any fire damage. In fact when the explosion happens we need to reapply EE or the burning damage will be significantly lower.

The EA gem's ARROW does NOT DEAL any fire damage. Instead it deals physical and any additional weapon damage,... The explosion then deals the fire damage.

Check the tool tip damage for EA gem. The value is low because the tool tip shows only the attack damage and not the explosion. The best way to understand EE is to go to a safe zone, make sure you use low lvl gem so you don't kill mobs. Then shot mobs and test, but don't kill. Hover over the affected mob. You can see the actual mods that are applied to the mob. That includes elemental vulnerability and resistances.

So we want to have "adds so and so elemental damage to attacks" somewhere on our gear that isnt fire to make sure EE causes them to have less fire resist?

YES! You can see the damage types on the tool tip or in the character screen in the offense tab. Still recommend trying the mechanic in a safe zone.

You got a lot of responses already and all I can say is use Elemental focus for ignite immune bosses.
I think GGG is very aware of the power of ignite. They made a conscious decision to have a powerful mechanic like that in the game, but then make some content immune to ignite to not have all content doable with all characters. Some other bosses are immune to poison for example.

As far as Shaper goes you should be fine. He can be ignited. And really most content can be ignited. There is only a few things that is really hard, such as uber Atziri and Phoenix. I think It's fair and we can have much fun on most content.

The guardians and Shaper is MUCH harder content than T15 maps in general. For Shaper you want to have a DECOY TOTEM for ad phase and at least 1x immune to freeze flask. Possibly on the quicksilver!

Grand spectrum is still the best option for DPS with many builds including EA. Last time I checked the price was pretty convenient too!

Hope that helps, have fun!

Hey Green, i didnt play my berserker anymore on Standard because i just did a grand spectrum pathfinder on breach league... Take a look on my character's tab and give me your opinion... im only level 72, killed all bandits and from now to level 90 i will seek flask nodes, life nodes and 4 points reserved to get the thirteenth grand spectrum (13x gs build)
I already have a good opal ring waiting level 80 to use it...
I wont spend money with dying sun since i have it on standard and while im playing im switching between add arrow/fire leech or clear speed/boss on rearguard/quillrain (wont buy another 6l quill rain since i have it on standard)

I still havent made merc and uber lab.

currently i have 5184 life, its very low... whats ur thoughts, roll back to oak 40 life and lose a point?
Thank you!

(i didnt reply about the zerk video and all because i wasnt playing much and logging in to forum)

EDIT: I didnt work on flask and gem setup yet, for now im just leveling wherever i can...
currently level 73""""*****
EDIT2: Just did both labs, melted uber izaro didnt even see him dying xD, when i came to the middle i was surprised like "wtf? already?"
EDIT3: K, leveled to 80 and now my opal ring is on, didnt use it yet though so i cant say if its a big difference or what... xD
