R.I.P. [2.6] Explosive Arrow - Elementalist Build Guide (multi class + version, in depth theory)

@epicplayeryod: I just realized. The Red Dream and The Red Nightmare are indeed interesting jewels. I'm not sure yet how good are they but I imagine they are quite useful.

@chapter15: The Elementalist will have the highest clear speed due to prolif that she gets from Beacon of Ruin. Honestly tho, if you play HC I'd stick with Pathfinder just for the power of flasks. If you get enough damage you can still use the Prolif gem. Or you can invest in aoe and aoue gem.

Thanks for the reply :), guess i'll lvl one to see, worst comes it will serve as backup char in case i ever rip on the pf.
Chapter15 i would say pathfinder is the fastest once u get everything and elementalist is the best starter/ all rounder. Dunno what something like dying sun costs in hc since that boosts ranger clear a lot.
Yeah was like 500c last season :(, so prob around the same, yeah thought so.

Maybe i'll lvl the ele and play it until i can afford 6link quills and rumi/dying sun for the pf.

Thank you very much
I'm currently playing with the red dream jewel and it is indeed amazing. Solves a major issue with getting end charges for me ( I love end charges ) and most importantly it makes our ic super long !! In fact I specced out of kraitlyn for the frenzy charge and got an extra end charge but that can vary on personal preference

Just a question, atm i have Liege and shaper/beacon of ruin and got the last 2 unassigned, ele reflect hasn't been too much of an issue for me since i usually spot them and just rely on ignite to kill them, should i go for Pendulum for the last 2 points? I mean i guess with paragon i could not worry about going slow with ele reflect mobs but dunno what may be better.

Any thoughts? Thanks :)

This is in hardcore but since i was playing pathfinder before i got used to spotting them, just wondering if the dmg increase is worth it over i guess basicly ignoring ele reflect in the long run.

If it is HC id just go with Paragon. It will not only help immensely with reflect, but also give you reduced elemental damage taken and a situational 40% damage increase. For example if you run a map where mobs deal additional fire damage you get this 40% increase buff reliably. Also a lot of mobs deal fire damage so you effectively get a damage boost in these cases.

Pendulum is unreliable. You can't always wait for it to come on and you can't really pay attention to when the buff is active. Sometimes and in some cases it will work. Just not always.

Hi, I know u are not playing EA this season, but if there is any information, what is the last word about grand spectrums? I just want to know should I spend currency for gathering them? And what is max viable number of sockets available in skill tree for GS build? Thanks!

Viridian Grand spectrum will still give most damage, even tho the damage is substantially lower from what it used to be. from 10 viridians and up is ok I think. You can use the same tree I used. If you want you can get 12 jewels if you sacrifice some more life. I'd say that if you get the jewels between 30c - 40c It's still quite ok. You can even get 1 crimson jewel and 10 viridians.

On the other hand, if you already have really good rare jewels you can just use those. The damage with rares can be quite good. I'd say the difference can be about 100% - 150% damage increase. But if you need to use many regrets and buy many grand spectrum jewels it may not be worth the investment. If you use the rare jewels you also get bit more life and some other minor goodies.

So it really does depend on your budget and if you want to push it to the limit. The price of these jewels have also dropped considerably. You should be able to do any content just with rares.
