Id really appreciate some help as i want to start progressing though uber and higher tier maps.

I suggest you invest in a voidheart, you will see a massive boost of dmg for the amount of money you will pay and it will propably help you a lot in doing Uber lab .
You can upgrade most of you gear for like 20c - 30c total , belt boots gloves. In general doing Uber lab will boost your currency and the rate at which you acquire it massively (at least when the layout is good). Also devotos as a helmet will help for Uber. In regards to getting killed easily, i don't see a Cast when damage taken setup on your gear. If you are on EU servers whisper me i may be able to provide you some better gear for free :)

This was my initial question as well, however having changed to chieftain and trying it out and as GornoDD mentioned in a previous reply on the post , it seems that Berserker is the best option. To be a bit more specific, i really miss the damage and getting my HP and Mana filled up when ever i use Enduring cry. For me at least the warcry bonuses from berserker are a huge factor when it comes to surviving a fight especially when it is a long one and you are out of pots. Also Berserker's bonus damage seemed to be giving me a lot more damage output and faster especially against high HP targets. All in all even with only a 5link Atziri's axe(used 1k fusing before finally deciding to drop my Kaom's for a brass dome, not 6linked yet though) my gameplay was way more comfortable as berserker.

All written above are based on my personal experience out of testing both berserker and chieftain though :S hope i helped a bit.

At this point I have to say that I think Berserker is better for both. Im almost tempted to rule out Chieftain entirely from the build. It still is very much viable, but it kinda struggles damage wise against the hardest bosses if your gear is below-bis.
