I have gone back to face breakers, I just could not use the 2H Warchief build, wasn't suited to me personally, I am not sure? But anyway my totems are back up over 300k each

are you using the same tree ? the damage difference is insane
The build will works on 2.6? Is it good for begin on a league?

ty!
Since there wasnt as much of a change to AOE for that Spell and it is only impacted by the Nodes and Gem i would assume it is still viable.

I would be glad to see a non poison one though since i dont really like that mechanic. Out front dmg is more my thing :).

Great guide btw and i will definetly try this on either SC or maybe HC with some changes to more Survivablility!
So what I understood is that this build relies somewhat to "double-dip", which is nerfed to some extent. So the question is that is it still as good?

Perhaps I am blind and missed something in the patch notes, but where did double dipping get nerfed?
It didn't; it's expected to get nerfed in 3.0.

It really didn't get nerfed, apart from Conc going from 59% more damage to 54% more, which applies to every AoE build out there.

Hatchet Master cluster also got a minor buff, so overall the build still stays as strong as last patch :)
For league start, is it recommended to go Chieftan or Beserker? Main focus will be farming uber lab as often as possible.
I'm planning to use a "lesser" version of this build in legacy as SSF. Since I'm not really expecting to get atziri's disfavour (at least not any time soon), is there a point to using the poison gem and DoT passives? Or should I simply replace them? Any other changes I'd really need to make? Is the build still decent without the double dipping?

Pretty sure that the recommended ascendancy is always Beserker providing that you are planning on using it all the way up to farming Uber Lab and getting your Disfavor / 6-link Belly or Brass Dome.

The sustain from War Bringer is able to pretty much offset the lack of leech from your totems and it fills up your mana at the same time.

That being said if you prefer a slower playstyle and don't plan on doing particularly difficult content then chieftain is probably a little safer.

As a league starter build aimed at getting currency as quickly as possible in SC then I would definitely go Beserker.

I think that you normally get those passive points last in which case I wouldn't get them until you have an axe with bleeding or a voidheart.

The hatchet master cluster below dirty techniques was buffed slightly so I would get those first. It then depends if you use the Brass Dome tree of the Belly tree - again I suppose this will be very drop dependent.

I would probably go for normal damage modes like Wrecking Ball & Executioner as well as getting more life on the scion life wheel. Then if you can craft a bleeding axe it would be worth going for dirty techniques and utilising the bleed / poison double dipping that those nodes afford.

For mid tier mapping I didn't find the clear speed made much difference with poison added in. It does improve the boss fights though a bit. Again, I'd throw in poison last of all and potentially try other options and see what you prefer. I think if you can bleed and poison reliably then dirty techniques is definitely worth picking up. For just poison with no bleed then I probably wouldn't unless you are planning on fighting some of the real endgame bosses that aren't poison immune where stacking poison really helps.

So content and gear will dictate whether you pick up the dirty techniques node.
