I have the exact same question. i personally run it with added fire damage instead of poison but i would like to know wich is best en why. Also i have doubts about melee phys on full life. it only works with totem on full life. wich is good for clearing maps but will never happen vs bosses. how about less duration or weapon elemental damage instead?


Edit. i've figured out why poison is better :) the added fire dmg comes up against a lot of resist so the tooltip dmg is not at all the effective dmg

Don't facetank the boss, run around while you totems do deeps. You don't need any defensive flask for izaro if you never take any hits from him.

I might be wrong here but I think melee phys on full life is based on player's life and not the totem.

About that last slot, I have a nerfed voidheart so I'm thinking of going rapid decay just to test things out but I'm still farming for that 6L. Maybe folks who have played around it can give us some insights.

Gloves: yours are crap, not worth anything. Get 80+ life, res, phy damage and attack speed on it
Helmet: i take abyssus over devoto's, also rare hemlet with strenghth and 80+ life is much better IMO
Boots: yours are real crap, not worth 1c... get 80+ life, 30+ strenghtm 30% speed and res
Belt: get 20%+ dmg or good life roll implicit, than get 90+ life and better res (100%+ is cheep!)
Amulet: get 80+ life, t1 phy damage (15-26), and need atributes (dex, int)
Rings: 70+ life, phy damage, needed res

You really should focus on flat life (good rolls) on all gear! Also get all gear armour based as high as possible!

Many people post they gear and flasks. I see that many use eternal flask for instant hp recovery. Stop doing that. Dont use eternal flasks for instant life recovery. Use divine flasks. You will get +130hp (849hp - eternal, 979hp - divine).
Eternal flask useful for recovery PER second, not instant recovery.

Yeah its pretty much that. I also wonder why so many people do that.

On a sidenote, I have rewritten large sections of the guide today.

I also added a Guide to Endgame Goals so you know better what sequence you should follow when upgrading your gear!

Some suggestion:

fasterattack over poison

if u really want to run IIQ/IIR just do, but i do not think it worth it, and as far i know IIQ do not work on map. Use melee dam on full life and poison on 6 link instead of these.

I change the Rallying Cry and enduring cry, because i spam the EC, because it is better than an instant flask, and u can run no regen map with it.

And if i offer u a gem use vaal lingthning trap, it is a huge dpsboost for boss, and level an inc aoe gem it is better for huge packs than conc efect, but for boss change back.

Do not listen the one who speak before abyssus is not better for u. You are enought fragile without it, but that true, that u need some gear upgrade.

The blasphemy i do not think it need. I run the maps with arctic armour and haste, and it is good enought.

For your build some expensive upgrade:
- weapon: i see, that u do not pick dam node, so the Marohi Erqi is also an option, but u also can use a rare 2h axe with bleed
- body armour: Belly of the Beast or The Brass Dome, but u have plenty of time for this.

Thx for the update. Can you just explain me why rapid decay is better than culling strike? Culling strike offer more or less the same dmg boost (instant instead of over time) + 10% faster attack. I have both gems max but can't see the difference while mapping (mobs melt anyway). Is is stronger for bosses? Is it because it applies to poison and bleeding? Also how do you know the damage of bleeding and poison over time?
