Path of Building: Offline Build Planner [v1.4.71]
I cannot import any characters. I have imported characters in the past but haven't touched path of building in several weeks. I think I'm not doing something properly, but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. Here's the steps that I took to import a character.
1. Select New 2. Click the "Import/Export Build" button 3. Enter the character's account name and click start 4. Scroll down the list and select the character that I want to import 5. Click "Done" Nothing shows up. I select Tree, Skills, Items, but everything is blank. What am I doing wrong? |

You are derping as hard as I was. This is why he should have a FAQ on the first page.
You should click the buttons passive tree and jewels & skills and items. If you just press done it did not actually import anything. |

Hey, just tried building a Righteous Fire Spell Totem build, and noticed the DoT calculation on the left always uses the HP value for totems at level 70, regardless of player level input up the top.

"Your unreserved mana is negative; make sure that the correct set of auras are enabled, as by default all are enabled on import, as the program can't know which ones you'll use. Disabling one of the non-BM auras brought the ES down to the correct amount. "You need to click "Passive Tree and Jewels" and "Items and Skills" to import the character data; I have them as separate options because I often find it useful to only re-import part of the character. "That's because I haven't added support for that type of modifier; it'll be in the next update though. "Yes, that's how Righteous Fire works with Spell Totem: both the damage to enemies and to the totem are based on the totem's life, and the totem's life is determined by the gem level; the player level has no effect at all. |

Potential bug(?!)
Spell fire damage increase nodes does not show in increased modifiers for flameblast while it does show up under the ignite damage for said skill. EDIT: The passive nodes I noted as not showing or influencing the damage increase for Flamblast in this case were the Breath of Flames including the nodes leading up to it. "They are definitely appearing; although since they only apply to a specific damage type, they appear under "Fire", not the "All Types" column. |

" Thank you, sorry.. Just started using this software. it's pretty awesome :) Maybe you can also explain why I see 0 increase in Ignite DPS when I add a chance to ignite support gem to the existing 5 gems even though the tool-tip shows my chance to ignite going up from 25% to 58%? Is the DPS shown under Ignite just the DPS of the skill when it proccs? And if so where can I see how it affects my actual combat DPS? So sorry for asking these beginner questions >.< |

"This one is hardly a beginner question, as it actually goes quite deep. You are correct that the "Ignite DPS" only shows the size of an ignite when applied, not the average DPS from ignite over time. The reason it doesn't show the latter is because calculating it is actually quite difficult to do, especially if crits have to be factored in, and whatever result was produced wouldn't be accurate under real combat conditions anyway (since movement or breaks in DPSing will affect it in ways that cannot be accounted for). |
